Then how did we protect our neighborhoods and communities before 1978? FEMA is an agency of the Dept of Homeland security which gave the directive to the national guard to collect guns from citizens in high and dry areas. Once again quit looking to big government for protection and organize outside of government agencies. That is my opinion.

Brett, your overlooking the ability to stay within a zone to help family and friends. The national guard came into the affected area during the after effects of Katrina and disarmed citizens, etc. We need our folks involved.

Why anyone would want to be certified by FEMA is beyond me. Maybe you can help escort the families to the FEMA camps after the full economic implosion sets in. FEMA helped collect guns from citizens during Katrina in high and dry areas where people were trying to protect their homes. Don't get involved with FEMA or the Dept of homeland security they hate freedom and the Republic. Set up your own local groups outside of the Government to help neighbors in need....WE DON'T NEED THE GOVERNMENT TO HELP EACH OTHER. THINK ABOUT IT....
