Event Description
Matt Lori, one of our State Representatives, will lead us in a legislative workshop. Most of us know some of what takes place in Lansing, but Matt's insights will help us to grasp indepth.
This will be informative for us all. If time permits, Matt will take Q & A and get to meet with some.
Matt was named chairman of the House Appropriations Sucommittee on Community Health (remember last year's meeting with Matt and the gentlemen that quit HHS?), and vice chair of General Govt Appropriations Subcommittee.

We will be taking nominations for board members this night. Final nominations and election on 3/1/11. Current board members until March 17, 2011, are:
Dr. Scott Davis - Chair
Susan Flowers - Vice Chair
Curt Jacobi - Treasurer
Marty Mullinax, Jerry Duck, Cap Doorn, Shirley Duis, Chuck Konneck - Board Members
Any final nominations and a vote will take place on March 1st, 2011. This board will serve through 2011 until the board meeting in March 2012.

OIC! He wants to give us the sugar coated version of how government works. Well, IMHO, things WILL be-a-changin now that We The People have gotten fed up with business as usual.
A more relevant meeting would be one to discuss our actions for the future. I hope to hear more folks decide that the time to protest the 0bamaGanda Media has arrived. ;o)

He suggested it to me in November for our group. I think he wants to teach us how Lansing business gets done. What almost always happens, the group takes over as soon as he asks, "Any questions?"

OK! I've got to ask ... WHAT is a "legislative workshop "?
Poor ole Matt. As I believe he needs direction I WILL try to attend so as to provide more of it. ;o)
