Event Description

Please join us in the 84th Annual Schoolcraft July 4 Parade. Parade starts at 11 am on Fourth of July.

We can line-up anytime after 10 am to take our # spot (to be assigned later this week). More than 100 groups will march. Our position # will be painted on one of the local streets, so we'll have a reserved assembly area. (Our # will be posted here or sent in upcoming email, so you'll be able to find us during line-up).

Parade route is short (about 3/4-mile), very walkable for most people. Parade begins at RR tracks & Eliza St (southeast corner of "downtown")...then heads west two short blocks to US-131...then north two blocks to Clay St...then west a few blocks to 14th St. Everything takes place on EAST side of US-131, so park on that side of highway.

Parade Officials will have a brief description of our group (who we are; what we stand for, etc) to be read when we pass the Judges' Stand.

This parade is a great opportunity to show the community who we are...and should bring many to our rally later that day. Wear your TEA Party T-Shirts; bring US Flags.

I'll be there - but I'll be driving my donkey (if he behaves). I'll be happy to put a sign on my buggy if someone has a design I can use, or wear a t-shrt if there is one I can get locally. I'm in supporot of your parade appearance, and hope lots of marchers show up!

Assembly info for marchers:
Your unit # is 29, located on Cass Street. The best place for you to park is behind the middle school, located on the corner of Clay Street & 14th Street, and walk to your space. The parade will end up right were you park.
