Permalink Reply by Jan Novak-Voeltzke on May 6, 2009 at 9:47am We should be all set to march in the Schoolcraft July 4 Parade. They're sending information packet, registration forms to me. I'll forward to one of our fearless leaders when it arrives tomorrow (where should I direct it?). We'll need to decide if we want to be "judged" (I thought Obama and Napolitano were already doing that). We'll need to submit what we want the announcer to say when we march by the dais. I suggest we compete in the "Most Patriotic" category...lots of flags, etc. They're expecting about 160 parade entries, so we need to stand out in some way.
Also, please note that I may drop-out of circulation for a short time in the coming days/weeks, as I just got the call my father had a heart attack this morning, heading to surgery...so I may catch a plane to Florida in next day or two... (Pls keep him in your prayers...as he's "one of us"...lifelong Republican, former cop and firefighter. A good guy!). Tony Dugal
Permalink Reply by Tia Gazi on May 7, 2009 at 9:56am Hey I wanna Run the Kissing Booth, Patriots are hotties :)I have a hundred or so 3'x5' American Flags. I would love to donate them for the float, or for fund raising at Bruces t-shirt booth. Bruce you might have to change the name now--Tee'-n-flags???? Bruce maybe you could run a kissing booth, just a random thought.

My dad is home from Florida hospital. Has a stent. Doing well. Very lucky--as heart attacks go. Thanks. I'm back in Kazoo next week. Florida is very hot, steamy. Perhaps there's a government-funded program to buy us po-folks air conditioners? Tony Dugal
