Liberty and Freedom

Abortion:

Let me explain my view on abortion this way.

Some senior citizens require extended care. Assume 50% of the US population, about the same percent which

support abortion, believes that caregivers should be able to decide if the seniors under their care should be

involuntarily killed if they become a burden or inconvenience.

Should there be a law allowing these caregivers the “Choice” of whether or not to terminate another’s life?

OF COURSE NOT!

Even if 99.9% believed it proper, killing others for your own convenience is wrong.

You never have the moral right or authority to kill an individual you consider inconvenient to your lifestyle.

The same reasoning applies to unborn babies in the womb. The most innocent among us should be nurtured

and protected, rather than slaughtered on demand.

Our country is founded upon the principal that all men are “endowed by their creator with unalienable rights,

that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.”

Life is an unalienable right from God. Governments are instituted to secure these rights for everyone -especially

the most innocent and defenseless amongst us, the unborn.

Our society has been conditioned to view a baby in the womb as a “fetus”, or mass of flesh, not as a human

baby. It’s a misconception. At eight weeks after conception, the baby has a human form with a regular heart

beat. Its arms, fingers, toes, and all major organs are clearly forming. It’s a baby, defenseless, protected within

its mother’s womb. As time passes the baby geometrically evolves. By the end of the second trimester, the baby

moves, sleeps and wakes, has hair, fingernails, taste buds, skin - a fully developed, yet still evolving, human

being.

It’s not the baby’s “choice” to be aborted. Quite the contrary, Life strives to survive.

A baby in the womb is an innocent and defenseless being totally dependent on its mother for protection and

sustenance. They do not want to die. Life strives to survive. Once born, the baby cries when it is hungry, cold,

or uncomfortable and is at peace when cared for.

Abortion is wrong. It goes against Christian-Judeo morality and the principals upon which our country was

founded.

Rather than aborting, unwanted babies should be brought to term, and then given up for adoption to desiring

parents. The long term solution to unwanted pregnancies is a re-dedication within our society to the time

honored values of pride, self respect, and fidelity.

I will not support any law allowing for the abortion of an unwanted or inconvenient baby. In the tragic event

when the physical health of the mother is in question, then the decision must be left to the parents.

Partial birth abortions are never justified and are nothing less than infanticide.

Let us hope that should Mr. Konetchy make it to the U.S. Senate he will be an equally fervent and eloquent supporter of Planned Parenthood.   Through their efforts at education and supplying contraception  this organization PREVENTS millions of abortions in this country.

No pro-life requirement, but don't call for help here if someone is attempting to take yours.

Mark, you said "I DO believe there should be a revision to the law." There was not a "law" to allow abortion or murder. There is nothing to be revised. Murder has always been unlawful, but when there are those in power that call good, evil and evil, good, some murder is allowed. You either choose to kill the people that get in your way, or you believe that all people have as much as a "right to life" as you do. Some murderers are arrested and tried for their crimes and some are treated as a special class of killers who have been given permission to disregard the law that states something like "thou shalt not kill".

Abortion is an issue of freedom. Freedom for those who can not protect themselves from the killers which would like to eliminate them before they have that chance to defend themselves.

The rest of your babbling does not warrant a comment or reply.

I am sorry that you left us Mark Nakou. It is always good to have open discussion/debate!
