I do understand how you feel about the hatefulness some people have for people who differ from their opinion. I have been attacked for my conservative views on many blogs, even on my hometown newspaper letters to the editor. It is not called for in my opinion. I try to be respectful of other's opinions even if I don't agree. I think the negative attacks only prove the immaturity of the attacker. If name calling is the only resort to defending your opinion, well then, I suspect the authors don't have any evidence to back up their opinions and certainly will not cause me to take them seriously.

Like you, I believe debate is healthy and if we can keep an open mind, we may very well learn something from one another. I don't think our founding fathers agreed on everything, but were able to work together for a strong America.

I watched a CNN video of an interview with Ron Paul tonight. At the end of the interview, he was asked if he didn't win the nomination and since the Republican Convention rules have been changed for this year, no winner take all of the delegates, would he be at the convention to use his delegate power to get some of his ideas on the Republican platform. Paul said he would. Now, I think this is very wise of him as I do agree with his stand on some issues. To me, this is what it is all about when it comes to working together for the good of our nation.

You once told me you would like to see any negative report on Ron Paul.  I stumbed on an article entilted, Blinded by the Left: How Marxists Wrote Ron Paul’s Defense Cuts Plan  I think the article is worth your time to read it.  I have personally met Andrew Brietbart, the editor of the website.  He is very conservative and a big supporter of the Tea Party.  You may have heard of him as the one who helped the young students to expose Acorn and also of recent fame for exposing Congressman Anthony Weiener's Twitter pornography.  At any rate, I trust Andrew Brietbart's work and don't believe he would have allowed the article to be published on his website if there was nothing to it.  Please let me know what you think.
