Liberty and Freedom
Liberals want all government and Libertarians want no government. Ron Paul has proven to be a Libertarian. Conservatives want a small government; no government would mean chaos. Santorum and Gingrich are both conservatives. Romney is a Moderate.

"The dumbest thing I've done in the last four years was sit on a couch with Nancy Pelosi," "the country must take action to address climate change."
In 1979, his first year in office, Mr. Gingrich was among a handful of freshman Republicans to vote to create the federal Department of Education. My how that has worked out for us. (Today Mr. Gingrich says he wants to “dramatically shrink” the agency.) (Flip / Flop)
In 1997, Mr. Gingrich proposed backing away from a promise he had made in the Contract With America to cut spending on Congressional committees by one third. He said the money was necessary for Congressional oversight of the White House.
Gingrich also distanced himself from the plan proposed by Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) to turn Medicare into a voucher system: “I think that that is too big a jump.” He called the plan “right-wing social engineering,” which he considers not “any more desirable than left-wing social engineering.”
IOWA REPUBLICAN: What you just did to Paul Ryan is unforgivable.
GINGRICH: I didn’t do anything to Paul Ryan.
IOWA REPUBLICAN: Yes, you did. You undercut him … you’re an embarrassment to our party.
GINGRICH: I’m sorry you feel that way.
IOWA REPUBLICAN: Why don’t you get out before you make a bigger fool of yourself?
In his headier moments, Mr. Gingrich had boldly proclaimed himself “the most serious, systematic revolutionary of modern times.” Now, in his final days on Capitol Hill, he sounded bitter. On the day he announced his resignation from Congress, Mr. Gingrich convened a conference call with fellow Republicans. In it, the leader of the 1994 conservative rebellion blamed the conservatives he had brought to power for his political fall.
“Cannibals,” Mr. Gingrich called them.
Permalink Reply by Ed R on January 5, 2012 at 8:33am A lot of people attack Newt and then a lot more people follow along with the poppular oppinion of the day. There really are too many people in this country that are unable to understand through lack of knowledge due to lack fo ambition. I witness it all around me constantly. These attack adds and inablity to see them for what they are is an example of what I am talking about. I watched all of the coverage and the statements made by the pundants did not match reality. It seems many rely on the media to point them in the direction they go. Newt is a serious candidate. Newts ideas are not rocket science. There is nothing difficult about what Newt is trying to do in his plans. The attack adds combined with the media (including FOX) allow people to follow and not think. We deffinately have a lot of lazy people in this country. We also have a lot of hard working people as well. It remains to be sean which side wins.
Permalink Reply by Todd Erb on January 5, 2012 at 3:14pm I grew angry at FOX this year when they totally ignored Ron Paul's success at building his grass roots campaign. They didn't even mention his name at times when he was polling as a top tiered candidate, instead saying Romney was in the lead? Instead they touted their handpicked favorites that would keep the constant merry-go-round in operation, spinning information to suit their political needs. Fair and balanced my ass. They are now no different than the old school alphabet networks they claimed to be different from in the beginning.
AS FAR AS LAZY GOES, I WORK MY TAIL OFF TO SUPPORT THE VERY ENTITLEMENT SYSTEM THAT MOST EVERY CANDIDATE IN THE COUNTRY HAS HELPED TO CREATE. I'M TIRED OF IT. THE LAZY ONES CAN GET OFF THE INDEFINITE UNEMPLOYMENT, WIC, WELFARE, SUBSIDIZED HOUSING, FREE CELL PHONES, SOCIAL SERVICES TRAIN AND PAY FOR THEIR OWN WAY!
Thoroughly depressing link to the cost of socialism. And this data is 6 years old.

They're trying to make this a third-world nation and doing a damn fine job of it. Not to mention allowing illegal immigration, granting illegals amnesty, driver's licenses, and in some cases allowing them to vote !

Ed, you need to pay attention to your spell check program, really, supposedly being more intelligent then the rest of us.
