Building the Brand and Charitable giving

I am happy to report that the Cass County Chapter of the SWMITPP voted to donate funds to another organization within our community. The Cass County Conservation Club has been holding a special fall fund raiser for the last few years that benefits the elderly in need with heat assistance. I took our donation to a club officer on Sunday and it was received with lots of gratitude. I did ask if the Tea Party could be publicly recognized for its donation to the Club, and was told that all outside donors would be. Check your local organizations for similar programs and see if you can do the same. This is a good way to help your community and at the same time elevate the name of the Tea Party.

Diane, you and Karen Langley were the only two to start the new "Community Care" committee.
Since you are already busier than - I forget how you put it - do you mind if I ask Karen to chair this committee?

Also, our next meeting is 12/7. I propose that this be more festive than anything. Maybe we could bring canned goods or donatinos for the new committee to help some local family or families as possible. Do you think this is a good idea?

Yes I surely do not care about chairing anything, I do not need a title to do the work. Any canned goods our people bring could be then given to a larger food drive or the food pantry in Cassopolis.

How about adopting a military family, especially for the holidays, but also year round?
