Many people are not aware that we have another of our members running for congress in the 6th congressional district.  He is Mel Valkner.

Mel needs help with his campaign.  His web site is www.thecommanman.org  You can go there to send a donation or sign up to help with campaign activities.

Mel is one of the original Kalamazoo Tea Party folks and was, in fact, the first Treasurer.  He decided early on that he would sacrifice his time and treasure to help right the ship of state.  He is a worthy candidate and can really use your help in his campaign, so please contribute and/or volunteer at his web page.

No I haven't served in the United States Millitary...Is that pre-requisite for having an opinion or a good understanding of foreign policy? I don't just wrap myself in the American flag and ignore history. What words exactly was it that I spoke that were untrue? I've studied History and I know that our Government has a long history of interefering and meddeling in other countries affairs. I suppose you think the muslims hates us because we are free?!? They hate us because of things we are seeing in the news about the civilian death rate in the Iraq war is 63% of all casualties. They hate us because we are there to get the oil...period. Wake up... the MIAC report that was leaked my a Missouri state trooper stated that the biggest threat to the homeland was returning veterans, conservatives, Ron Paul supportes, gun owners. The whole apparatus of DHS is for us the American people...not a bunch of men in caves wearing turbins on the other side of the planet. The government is using the events of 9/11 to take your civil liberties....Or have you forgot about the constitution? By the way my arguements for voting for Mel is he understands SOUND MONEY and how it is key to liberty and freedom.

Wow...I'm beginning to think your a GOP shill here to divide the patriots. You haven't elaborated on anything your saying. I would love to have a debate with you on any subject. What is a joke? What is a progressive idea? Your not being very specific...Ed?

I am an American citizen just as you. One does not need to be a scholar to understant the Declaration of Independance, Constitution of the United States of America, and the Bill of Rights. Those that seek to use a lot of words and complex formulea to explain these documents are clearly attempting to deceive.

Splitting the votes is a bad idea. It does not take a Rocket Scientist to understand this; I know this because I have studied rocket science.

If I may; I would like to describe what I have gleaned from your writings to this point. You are young; you cannot be wrong; you thrive on power; you are angry, and you lake patience. These are all human traits and we all have them to some degree; a sign of wisdom is having experience and aplying one's own experience to make good decisions and then follow through with those decissions. You wish to implement the Charge of the Lite Brigade; Time will tell if you are open minded or completely dogmatic. You have had plenty of chances to let this subject go and You have not, thereby bringing more attention to Mel's ballot; not a good idea; most progressives do not learn and I guess you will not be any different.

Well Ed...You are 0-5 on what you have gleaned from my writing...I'm a 36 year old father of two children who feels an obligation to pass down a country that still has freedom. This will be my final response to you on this subject because you would rather attack my character and make uninformed assumptions about me instead of debate any issues our country currently faces.

-Ed,... an un-informed electorate is what got us into this postition to begin with instead of attacking me spend some time researching the Federal Reserve, False Flag Operations, Rockefeller Foundation, Carnegy Foundation, Ford Foundation, Credit Default Swaps, Council on Foreign Relations, Trilateral Commision, The New World Order....These are the enemies of the Free Republic not men in caves with box-cutter knives....Good Luck!

You seem to hate a lot of people my friend. Maybe someday you will understand that not everyone is out to get you. Sometimes people are trying to help you, but like a child you feel the need to be right no matter the subject. You have a lot to learn, but until you stop practicing negitive behaviors you will not be willing to surrender to God; you feel you must be the one driving the bus.

George Washington said, “Paper [fiat] money has had the effect...to ruin commerce, oppress the honest, and open the door to every species of fraud and injustice…If ever again our nation stumbles upon unfunded paper, it shall surely be like death to our body politic. This country will crash.”

Upton's view on such a clear and present danger, and something that can so easily drive a stake through the heart of our Republic? Dead silence.

Mel..I browsed over the site and I'm very impressed with the issues you are raising and think it takes a lot of courage to raise these issues. We need more representation that understands the importance of sound money and both sides have been poor stewards of the peoples money. After all it is the peoples money and when the government has abused the peoples money it's time to take away the privilege. I'll be knocking on doors for you this week and if we don' t win this time....we keep coming...don't worry as the dollar collapses and austerity measures begin the movement will continue to grow and eventually the government will no longer be able to ignore the will of the people. I hope we are calling you the Defibrillator come this time next week. SHOCK THE SYSTEM BABY!!!! THIS IS BETTER THAN FOOTBALL!! Fighting for liberty and discovering the spirit of 1776 is far more exciting than football will ever be!

Mr Valkner,

Quoting George Washington and being identified as a CPA and part of the U.S. Taxpayers Party means nothing to me. You do a job pointing out real or perceived problems, but no solutions. I find solutions to problems for a living; most people in this country do. You put down your oponent, but you have no solutions of your own. You play politics; you are no different than all of the other polititions. The more I learn of you the more I see the same I've witnessed in polititions my whole life.

You are simply after power with no real solutions.
