EPA's new air regulations
Hello,
Around 4 to 6 weeks ago I posted an article I found from one of my favorite reading sights about the new EPA air quality stamdards about to be instituted. Well, last week I read an article about the adverse effect that they are going to have on coal fired electric generating plants. Guess what folks? 10 DTE coal fired plants here in Michigan have decided to close due to the expense of re tooling those plants to meet the new air quality standards. So look for higher heating and cooling bills if you can afford either! I suggest we call or write Sen. Debbie and Sen. Carl and tell them both to turn their thermostats down in the winter and don't use the central air in the summer just like us commoners!
By the way there is a video on the net where Obama actually talks about making coal generating operations so expensive they would have to close, so I guess this is one time you can say he told the truth!

With Congressman Upton chairing the Energy and Commerce Committee in the House, he's taking a whole lot of false ads about hating clean air, destroying the EPA, and worse because he's dead against the EPA's regulating carbon, carbon dioxide, and such. This regulation is cap and tax or cap and trade only not via legislation because the democrats could not get it passed.
On this one, Fred is right and we need to give him support in fighting this EPA rule. If we don't we will see our electric rates skyrocket.
