Health Care Forum at the Kalamazoo City Public Library at 7:00 PM 08/11/2009

There is a Health Care Forum at the Kalamazoo City Public Library tonight at 7:00 PM 08/11/2009. It is sponsored by City Commissioner Mr. George Clooney, The thrust of the forum is support for Single System Government Health Care.

I went to this same type of forum back about a month ago. We need to have more people attend and ask the hard questions of the presenters. We also need to state the reasons why we don't trust the government to run our health care.

I plan on attending, and if you plan on attending, I would recommend NOT wearing the TEA party shirts. Lets make sure people understand that we want to know the ideas out there regarding health care, but lets also let people know of our concerns in a concise, coherent, and intellegent manner.

DId you attend this "informational" meeting? Was it as predictable, one-sided, as one would predict--hosted by two loony-lib city commissioners (one a convicted criminal, who does not deserve to hold public office). Tony

I did attend the meeting. It was more of the local Politicians getting input fromt the people rather than the other way around, all though they did that too. Both conservatives and liberals spoke and for the most part it was cordial. I wish more from the Tea Party would have come and spoke their minds as there were more liberals their than conservatives.
