Inter-group communication

I was thinking of how we could handle communications with all the groups in Michigan. I believe we need some conduit to communicate with each other throughout Michigan about important issues that might be considered "state wide". Not all issues or information will be pertinent to all groups but other information will be. 

I started a group on our site called "Alliance Representatives" . If one, active person from each group were to come to our site and join that group that would enable me to "send a message to the entire group". This way our group could communicate with all the groups in the state with one message. The liaisons for the target group could then determine if the information was worth sharing with their group. The liaisons could also turn off all email settings except for "messages from one of my groups" that way they wouldn't be inundated with emails from our group. 

Each individual group with their own site could start a similar "Alliance Representatives" group for the same purpose. 

If this sounds like something you believe would work, join our group"Alliance Representatives" and leave a hyper-link to your groups main page in a comment to that group and I will post your groups name with a link on the main page of the group. That will be used to indicate your group is a member.

There is a Yahoo group for the Michigan Alliance that has been used for communications for several months now. I believe that there is a web site for the Alliance under construction right now also.

Hi Clem,

Yes I was aware. At this point Bills group Michigan Alliance and our site Ann Arbor Patriots were the first to join up in this manner.
