Last nights debate showed Ron Paul's real colors

Ron Paul is in denial of reality.  Ron Paul actually believes if we leave them alone, then they will leave us alone.  This is dilusional thinking.  Maybe we should turn that around.  If they left us alone, then maybe we would leave them alone.  I wonder somtimes if anyone remembers September 11th 2001 New York city.  It was clear from last nights debate that Ron Paul loses his cool under preasure.  Based on my observation Ron Paul is an unstable man.

 

I was hoping Bachman would give me more insight into what her plan is instead of spinning allagations at Newt.  I really like Bachman, but last night I saw a side to her that I did not like.

 

People are not stupid.  It is easy to see when someone is simply spinning the truth to make it appear as something much different than it really is and it also is a waste of time.

Hey guys,

"A house divided against itself cannot stand..."  How about redirecting some of that energy you're wasting, going back and forth with conspiracy theories, toward some productive areas of agreement such as defeating "those nasty government types" (currently in power) who REALLY want to take your liberty and freedom(s) away from you.  You're playing right into the "Statists" hands with this internecine wrangling.  There is plenty to be done to restore our country to the principles of liberty outlined in Declaration and in the Constitution - we don't need to waste resources arguing about things we cannot change.  Let's get our focus back to making the FUTURE better - I'm sure there are projects where we can put your talents and passions to work.  Come to the January 5th meeting of the VanKal TPP and we'll put you to work.  Bigger fish to fry.  I'd bet you will find more areas to agree upon - if you look for them.

I agree we need to work together, but 9/11 gave us the patriot act and is the argument for taking our rights in order to keep us safe. Just look at operation fast & furious (started under the Bush administration) is where the justice department ordered the purchasing of guns from Texas gunshows and had them delivered to drug cartels in Mexico to demonize the second ammendment. Border agents died as a result of this operation. This is a false flag attack on our rights. Even if you buy into the boogie men in caves in turbins with box cutter knives pulling off the greatest attack in our history. There is NO doubt our government is using the events of 9/11 to take our rights....We have to recognize when our government is using false flags to take our civil liberties in order to take away this tactic from out of control governments.

Alright Brett,

It's going to take more than a Ron Paul presidency to get the country back on its feet.  Instead of "chatting" about things past, let's get working on things future.  The Tea Party is more about getting broad-based support for restoring the Constitution as the primary force in government.  If you don't like the Patriot Act, then help us ELECT folks who will work to reverse those provisions in the act that are detrimental to liberty (while realizing that the world is a far more dangerous place today and we need to deal with terrorists at the same time we protect our liberty at home).  I'm not directing the following comment at you, or anyone else personally, but I've seen lately a very negative tone on these posts.  Tea Party members have a vast number of issues they are passionate about - but when you look at the core issues of freedom, there is a great deal more that binds us together, and that we can work toward together.  Let's set aside some of these divisive issues for a day when we can look back at our accomplishments (a restored sense of Cosntitutionally-based, limited government) having worked together to achieve.  Then we can squabble all we want.

If you, and others commenting on these threads, really want to make a difference, then join some of the projects we are embarking upon to get out like-minded voters to take back our country.  The ONLY feasible means (short of outright revolution - chaos) of restoring our country is through the electoral process.  If folks were more involved in this project they would find an outlet for all their angst.  Join in, your energy and passion can be put to very good use.

By the way, Fast and Furious was not started by the Bush administration - a similar program was in place but it involved actual tracking of the firearms in cooperation with the Mexican government.  The Obama administration's thinly veiled motivation is to assault the 2nd Amendment by incurring public wrath against firearms in general, never intending to root out the cause.  This is actually a good illustration of incompetent government - caught in the act.

Finally, Brett, I'd much rather we focus on the 90% of principles that we can agree on - and achieve some victories.  I agree with 90% of what Ron Paul stands for - I just wish his son was running in his place.  I hope we can get together sometime and find some projects to work on.

I didn't start this thread. It was an attack thread on Ron Paul and I showed up to defend my candidate. In fact what I'm trying to do is get people to understand why he feels the way he does about our foreign policy. This IS the electoral process and what makes you think my passion and energy aren't being put to good use? Because I'm not working on your projects? Which I'm perfectly happy to do by the way. Trust me I'm very much engaged in the process. But the point is....This is the arena of ideas and I promise you when the founders got together and designed our constitutional republic there was plenty of divisive issues being discussed. We are at a crossroads in our nation's history and playing footsie with the military industrial complex after the House just passed an indefinite detention bill under the NDAA (national defense authorization act) for AMERICANS!!!...IS DANGEROUS. Did you ever  watch Eisenhower's speech regarding the military industrial complex and the possiblity of misplaced power?

 

 

Oh I see...Because the Bush administration named it something else and "promised" to actually track the weapons it's ok to supply drug cartels with deadly weapons.

I've said this many times over the years I've been coming here...I'm not here to divide patriots I want as many of us to come together as possible. But I can tell you this the country is shifting and we are not going to vote for the lesser of two evils. The Ron Paul supporters will not vote for anyone but Ron Paul because we have been sold a bill of goods by both sides of this evil coin. I'm willing to work with anyone who is willing to follow the constitution and further the cause of liberty, bill of rights, free markets, sound money, peace, and states rights. But I'm not dealing with the devil just so we can "WIN" against Obama. That's how we got into this mess.

Romney = Obama = Gingrich = Bush ...It's called the Left/Right paradigm. I left that train a long time ago. The lesser of two evils is still EVIL anyway you slice it.

Brett!  It's ok!  One day at a time man.  You and I get annamated toward one another at times, but you also must agree that our basic foundation of freedom is in synch.  How we get there!  Who represents the best approach!  You and I go at each other on how and who and I am ok with debating you strongly on how and who.  You and I will not go fist to cuffs, but I am sure you and I will not hesitate to argue our respective points.

Hey Brett!  Marry Christmas my friend.  Enjoy your friends and family this next couple weeks and forget about politics for a moment.  We can pick up the political gloves after this holiday season of joy happiness and freedom for all.

ED..................., Excuse me. How can I enjoy Christmas knowing that it may be the last Christmas ANY of us may enjoy in ANY traditional fachion ? God GAVE us freedom and we are losing it.....By the end of the Christmas season all this conversation could be to late.........What I and a few million other's are fighting for is the right to save Christmas and OTHER rights that we have all so enjoyed !..............How do you think the families of all the "dead " or "injured" soleiers are celebrating this Christmas ?  How do you think people who lost their jobs are celebrating ? How do you think people who have lost their homes are celebrating ? .................Celebrate ???  Sorry I have to much to do this Christmas !  I can celebrate for just a few moments several times a day by myself. I don't HAVE to have big dinners, gifts made in China,and a family sitting around arguing about everything !

My family and friends do not have heated arguments.  We have differing opinions and discuss them, but no fighting.  The one thing we all agree on is security; most of us served in the military.  Reason is the key.  Seeing reality as it is and applying logic.  Relax!  There is nothing you can do over the Christmas season that will change anything.  North Korea can't reach us yet with their Nukes and China and Russia won't try; Iran has not acquired their's yet.  You can relax knowing you are in no immediate danger for a few days.

You sound like my neighbor (socialist) who puts so many devices on her poor child like helmet, goggles, kneepads, elbow pads,mouth guards, etc. that he can't even play anymore ! (one of the reasons for obesity & diabetes)
