Liberty and Freedom
Ron Paul is in denial of reality. Ron Paul actually believes if we leave them alone, then they will leave us alone. This is dilusional thinking. Maybe we should turn that around. If they left us alone, then maybe we would leave them alone. I wonder somtimes if anyone remembers September 11th 2001 New York city. It was clear from last nights debate that Ron Paul loses his cool under preasure. Based on my observation Ron Paul is an unstable man.
I was hoping Bachman would give me more insight into what her plan is instead of spinning allagations at Newt. I really like Bachman, but last night I saw a side to her that I did not like.
People are not stupid. It is easy to see when someone is simply spinning the truth to make it appear as something much different than it really is and it also is a waste of time.

Permalink Reply by Ed R on December 28, 2011 at 2:44pm I agree completely. I don't see Newt going in that direction though. There is evidence that that approach does not work; the Europian Union for instance. One thing that I understand about Newt is his ability to reconsider ideas he once held and make adjustments accordingly. Many use this nature as being inconsistant; I see it as learning. I don't believe that Newt would go in that direction at this point. Newt is too smart and too forward thinking to try something that has proven to fail. Hey! Newt sat on a couch with Nancy once and talked about things that many of us new were simply stupid; Newt is not a scientist. Newt learned from that dumb act and has since admitted it was dumb; he learned. I see Newt as a person that is able to learn from his mistakes and move forward with a better understanding as he goes along. I see that as an attribute. I still see Newt as the most experienced candidate with the best knowledge and intelligance to take us where we need to go at this point in our history as a Nation.

You are absolutely correct Ed. Free market trading is good for all countries. However, if we were to form a union with Canada and Mexico, we loose our sovereignty. We would no longer be separate entities. We would be a Union with a new government to govern over the union. The North American Union would take priority over any existing laws any of the three countries maintain. Would we want a Mexican or Canadian president of the Union over the U.S.? Very scary thought.
I have questions Ed. When was it Newt came to the conclusion sitting on the couch with Nancy Pelosi was stupid? Was it when he started rising in the polls and started taking hits for the video? If it were not for being a serious contender for POTUS, would Newt still be sitting on that couch with no regret?
Permalink Reply by Ed R on December 28, 2011 at 4:04pm I don't know. Right now I am taking Newt at his word. What I believe is that Newt has good character. I believe that Newt has good ideas and nothing but good intentions for this country. I don't have to go very far back in my past to find things I would do different today. I make mistakes all the time; I try not to repeat them; I try to learn from them; I believe Newt does the same. When I observe Newt I see a man that has enough experience and success in the right areas and the ability to make the right decisions at the right time to be the POTUS. That is why Newt is my first choice. Believe me; I am not being dogmatic. Right now I have no reason to change horses. I began following Newt on C-Span in the early 90's before he became Speaker of the House. I liked his ideas then and I like his ideas now. Newt evolves with changing circumstances better than any other politician I have ever seen and I have agreed with almost all (not all) of his stances on the issues of the day. I believe Newt has the right stuff to lead this Nation out of its current decay.

Permalink Reply by Janet Blazen on December 28, 2011 at 5:19pm What does it mean to belong to the CFR ? I'm curious to what it means to people of the TEA PARTY ?
The CFR is comprised of rich elitists and large corporations who collectively promote the union of North America (U.S., Canada, and Mexico) and a super highway between Mexico and Canada. This union would be much like the European union. It also proposes a change in currency, we would all use the same currency of the same value, and would be like the Euro. The weaker economy would be supported by the stronger economy. The U.S. would loose its sovereignty. CFR is all about "One World Order".
Our U.S. constitution would need to be changed or eliminated. All three country’s laws could be overruled by the Union. Another words, we would have a government consisting of the three countries. Our president could be from Mexico or Canada. “What does this mean to the Tea Party people”? The same thing it means to all Americans, total loss of our nation.

JLB,
I know what the CFR is and have have known for many, many years. Earlier you already told me that you knew and could never vote for someone who had any ties with them...............The reason for posting the CFR question again was in hopes that others would be curious enough to inquire WITHOUT getting mad all the time............It is VERY important that people know about some things WITHOUT all the whiplash one gets for being a messenger..........
I want people to look up (CFR + former and current members) and then think again about how they vote keeping this information in mind ?
Okay I understand now Janet. I thought you didn't understand. LOL You are very right about making others aware. I think most people are so busy with their daily lives they find this kind of stuff overwhelming and would just as soon turn a deaf ear and blind eye to it. Sad really because they are voting for people who do not have the best interests of our nation. When I took a look at the membership list (present, current, and permanent) for CFR, I was shocked by some names but relieved some were not on the list. I was very thankful Pres. Regan was not on the list. But I think every president since Regan has been on it. Now we have Newt and Romney both on the membership list. Very scary times we live in Janet. Thank you for being an informed voter. Even if we don't agree on the candidate, it is important we can still have dialog.
Permalink Reply by Janet Blazen on December 28, 2011 at 7:14pm Thanks JLB for that...........Dialogue is all I ever want..........It's unfortunate that "some" people will always make an argument out of everything and actually accuse others of what they "themselves are doing" but can't see it. LOL
I believe you said that your choice for Pres. is Santorum and that Paul is second. Is that right ?
I have looked into Santorum and he would probably be my second choice and Paul my first........ ;-)
What I find humorous is that the very people on this site that are against our Government being run as it is and "has been run"for some time now are the very ones who don't want to learn anything to prevent it from continuing in the same fashion in the future and they are the ones who get angry every time you try to educate them just a little bit................
Some of them remind me of one of my favorite quotes : "The nose of a bull dog has been slanted backwards so that he can breath without letting go"........... Winston Churchill LOL
Keep up the good work and we will both learn and be informed voters !
God Help Us,
Janet

LOL..................If people would have "beleived" this one in time maybe we could "all" have stopped it by calling our reps. instead of just "some" of us calling our reps ? Anyway it's to late now !
