Are you referring to "It's not my job" Mike Cox? Two times major issues came up that were his job and he was totally non responsive. Issues that involved millions and millions of dollars and affected thousands of people. It is thanks to Mike Cox that I became a political activist! I wish he would come to a TP meeting I would love to air my grievances with him publicly!!
Could you tell me what the major issues were so I can make up my own mind if it was his job (or not)? I too would love to hear his answers to your grievances, buy since that doesn't look like it's going to happen, maybe you could air them to us voters.
I would be happy to. The first instance with him was over a local school election bond issue for the sum of $26 million dollars. After a personal visit to the SOS's office and the Bureau of Elections we were told that yes, in fact, major election laws had been broken in order to illegally pass the bond issue by 23 votes. We were told there that the only enforcement arm for the SOS is the Attorney General. So, we wrote to Mr. Cox, outlining every violation that had taken place and he sent us back a limp reply that it was NOT his job and for us to hire a private attorney. To do what, he did not say. Pretty pathetic when the CHIEF law enforcement officer of the state denies that upholding ELECTION law is NOT his job! ( I have this in writing)
The second instance was when we had a rogue Township Supervisor who was costing our township thousands of dollars in nuisance suits and legal fees. His spouse physically attacked people at public meetings and was consequently tried and convicted of assault. There are 2 ways in Michigan to get rid of an elected official, one is by recall, the other by petioning the Governor for removal. We chose to do the 2nd because of limited funds at the time to hold a special recall election. The remainder of our Board voted unanimously to send the evidence to the Governor's office. I personally spoke with the Governor's Chief Counsel, and he assured me they would completely review the packet of evidence we had sent to them and that he would then forward it onto the Attorney General as proscribed by the law. Mr. Cox never even bothered to respond to us. Besides my personal experiences with Mr Cox I also feel he lacks the moral fiber to withstand an onslaught by the democrats as I am sure they will bring up his history of adultery in the context of Republican family values and I also feel he is lacking in ethics since he saw fit to hire 2 spouses of MI supreme court justices to work in his office. Talk about stacking the deck for who appears most often in front of the State Supreme Court!

It's hard to tell which area's school bond issue you are talking about. The only 26 million dollar one I could find in our area is the Colon School bond issue and it failed, so that wasn't it. Also, is it really the job of the AG to remove legally elected officials if they have not violated the public trust? the Township supervisor was elected by the people and should be removed by the people unless their is evidence of fraud, missuse of funds etc, then a new election should be held to name his/her replacement.

The addition of adultery to your claims does nothing to further your previous two charges. I'm sure their are plenty of others in each party, including the Tea Party that could be charged with adultery including non-poilitical figures.
The bond issue was in Constantine several years ago. I may not have the figure right it does not matter 22 25 27 million....what difference would it make? The fact remains they bumped up the date of election without due legal notice they closed a polling place and opened another in a construction zone with NO legal notice...they falsely turned away voters claiming they could not find them on the polling books... among many other things. As for is it his job to remove someone? Yes when that is exactly what the procedure is in existing law. And there was evidence of fraud involved The other two things I mentioned, if you read it again, I said are besides my PERSONAL experience but are my opinion of the man, of which for the moment I am still allowed to have. Your spin on adultery is true, many may be guilty of it, even in the tea party, but then again they aren't running for governor asking for MY vote.
Mike Cox has been invited to meetings and usually did not respond. He did indicate that he would be at the LiberTEA Fair, however he did not show and did not inform any of the Fair organizers that he was not going to attend. He went to an Art Fair in Ann Arbor instead.

He has done this to other TP groups in the Eastern part of the state and he does not have a good image among TEA Party folks at all.
