Patriot Act Vote

Last night the U.S. House defeated legislation to extend 3 of the so-called "Patriot" Act's controversial provisions. It needed 290 votes to pass but narrowly failed 277-148. See how your Rep. voted here http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2011/roll026.xml Sadly, only 26 Republican's voted against! (May I note that both Upton and Walberg voted for extension).

Contact your Representative:

If your Rep. voted for the Bill of Rights shredding Patriot Act, remind them of their oath to uphold the CONSTITUTION! Urge them to put the American people's rights before the Survellience State's power by rejecting the "Patriot" Act on every vote.

If your Rep. voted against, thank them for their stand but tell them consistency & opposition on every vote to extend any part of the so-called "Patriot" Act.

This fight is only beginning. The 3 provisions expire Feb 28 so we need to put on the pressure as this will come up again soon!

I've been lighting up Fred Upton's phone on this issue. I see Fred voted in favour of the "unpatriotic provisions" without debate or ammendments. I believe Fred is looking at his last term in office he's made his decision to go down with the ship. This is GOOD NEWS as it shows that we are winning and the general public is "waking up" to the fact that most of the Patriot Act is aimed squarely at them and their liberties. I'm proud of my country right now (and no...not for the first time...lol) and this gives me even more hope that not all is lost!!! But as you said the battle is far from over...but for once I feel as if the people's voice is being heard. Congratulations to the Tea Party/Campaign for Liberty and all the other real patriots out there let's show the world how to have a Peaceful/Intellectual Revolution and run these criminals (Goldman Sachs,JP Morgan, Ben Beranke, Bank of America, Federal Reserve,etc...) through our justice system.

Let's hope the Government doesn't stage another "crisis" and claim these previsions "would have saved us" to coax us back into Big Sis's lovin' long arms and bolster support for the incredibly unpopular operation in Afganistan. We need to be vigilant patriots it always gets darker before the dawn, and these globalist and financers of war and oppression aren't going to go away easily. We must continue to speak out against these criminals and beat them intellectually by exposing their crimes against humanity and the violations against our Contsitution and Bill of Rights. The sleeping giant that is liberty is awakening and I believe the puppet masters are scared.

We are the resistance and the real change this country needs is HAPPENING and this vote proves it. Question everything and know that we have won a battle in a long,long war and we must not rest on our laurels but continue to light brush fires in the minds of men with the spirit of 1776.

THIS IS HOW IT'S DONE PEOPLE....THIS IS THE TEA PARTY AND THE TEA PARTY IS GOING TO CHANGE THE WORLD. GOD TOLD US IF WE STAND UP FOR WHAT'S RIGHT AND WE REPENT HE WILL HEAL OUR LAND.PEOPLE ARE STANDING UP AGAINST TYRANTS AND CORRUPTION WORLD WIDE!!
