Liberty and Freedom
I am sure many of us share the same ideology that the States should have more power than the federal government. Until my current campaign I haven't thought about which entity should have power over the other, states or counties. It seems to me that the individual should always have more power than the governing body. A great way to do that would be to flip the power pyramid upside down, making what was the most powerful person just a figure head and making what has been the least powerful person the decision maker. Reflecting on my day lead me to wonder about a country ran by the local government and adhering to it's own laws and regulations. The county would ultimately make it's own decisions and the state would loosely hold the counties accountable to it's regulations. I am not sure how feasible this would be to implement in any relative timeline, they say Rome wasn't built in a day but we all know that it was built and it does exist. So how would we implement the shift of power from a federal government, that is gaining strength day by day, to a stronger more influential local government. This local government's regulations would be influenced by regular voting by what would be a powerful populous, rather than the very powerful government influencing the weak and feeble populous.
