Funny joke: A man goes into his credit union to complain that his online banking transfers isn't working. He tell the clerk everytime he attempts to transfer $$ from savings to checking it tells him he can't. The lady tells him that the congress passed a rule stating you can only do those transfers 6 times/month. He asks why, she says the government wants to encourage people to save.
 Funny part: this was not a joke, this happened to me. When she told me that I just stood there in silence and the more I thought about it the funnier it became before you know I'm laughing so everyone could hear me then the teller started laughing. If it wasn't so funny it would be sad. Our government telling us to be more responsible and save.

As usual, the intent to help has the reverse effect. Seems this would encourage putting more money into checking to avoid the hassle.

I just don't see why the government is sticking their "finger" into this at all.  It is truly none of their business - as usual!
