Surveillance State

Reportedly, BHO has threatened to veto the CISPA (Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act). His threat is just election year rhetoric, IMO. When push comes to shove, he’ll approve it like he did the NDAA of 2012. An excellent source on the CISPA issue can be found here. The House is scheduled to vote on the bill no later than this Friday. Congress.org is the vehicle I use to contact my reps, national and state, and the White House.

Drones are already being used to surveil the US population. Universities and private businesses are seeking drones for their own use.

There is also evidence that the NSA (National Security Agency) is already reading our emails. This is nothing new except for the exposure they are increasingly receiving.

I’m not a Facebook user but since December of 2010 they have been using facial recognition technology. If Facebook is using it, it’s a good bet that Uncle Sam is too. A primitive form of this technology has been around since at least 1963. I can only imagine what it’s like in this digital age.
