Liberty and Freedom
Tea Party memebers statewide deserve a good hard lambasting over their complete failure to unite behind one candidate for Senate in the Republican primary. In the last Governor's election we had several candidates running with Tea Party support. We split the vote and got Governor Snyder.
This election cycle, Citizens for a Conservative Senate was formed. The candidates were completely vetted and the straw poll showed Gary Glenn as the preferred candidate. I was a Pete Konetchy supporter, but decided to get behind this movenment as a way of getting a Constitutionalist in the senate.
Evidently, very few others got the message. Individual members are still supporting their individual candidates and Gary Glenn is polling at the bottom of the heap. I heard this fine man speak along with all the other candidates at the last Republican convention. CCS made the right choice but no one listened. The last fund raiser in this area netted about $500 whcih is barely enough to print some fliers. By putting 3 candidates up agianst Pete Hoekstra we are flat out guaranteeing another 6 years of Debbie Stabenow!! Pete has the name recognition and party backing, but is polling 11 points behind Stabenow at present. He is a long time party member with very few conservative creds. The independents could care less for another life long Republican and the Dems will be voting for Pete in the primary because they know he can't beat Debbie in the general election. This is the guy who couldn't beat a disaster like Granholm in the last Governor's election and now we're likely going to get him because it's "his turn" and we couldn't unite behind one candidate.
I am posting this to register my personal dismay for the selfishness of individual members who refuseed to support this fine idea. The Democrat Socialists are laughing their butts off at the disunity within the Tea Party.
It's going to take a bloody miracle for Pete to pull it off in the general election if he's our guy. Most Tea Party folks will be holding their nose and wishing for something better. We have our opportunity and are blowing it. Congatulations fellow patriots!

MI4CS was and is the best way to unite TEA Parties across the state. Obviously that lesson wasn't learned by the fractured vote in the Governors race and look who we ended up with! Many patriots from across the state have worked tirelessly since the inception of MI4CS with One goal in mind, to unite TEA Party Patriots behind ONE candidate so we could finally be able to "Dump Debbie!"
Gary Glenn's noble act of withdrawing from the campaign and putting his support behind Clark Durant was not an easy choice for him or the 1,000's of patriots that supported him. The leadership of MI4CS could have given up since "their" # one guy was out. But this is not about an individual, it is about doing what we feel is best to save our Republic. We could also say, well my guy isn't going to win so I won't vote....which is a certain vote for Debbie Stabenow.
Thank you to everyone who got on board with MI4CS and is fighting to the end to see this through.
