Permalink Reply by Brett Pepper on December 2, 2011 at 9:23am Rock Solid conservative voting record....Newt wishes he had a conservative record, but he's too busy rubbing elbows with globalists to be a true conservative.
Permalink Reply by Peter Buxton on December 6, 2011 at 11:26am I dislike the idea that America causes problems in other countries. In fact, other countries cause problems in still other countries for America. What will Ron Paul do to counter that?
Permalink Reply by Brett Pepper on December 6, 2011 at 12:00pm Try this interview...I believe most of your questions should be answered. Give the good Doctor a chance he is the only true statesman that will defend our Constitution and bill of rights. It's lengthy and it starts out with low audio but it quickly gets better. Here is a fromat that doesn't allow for 30 second sound bites and Ron Paul gets a chance to explain his postitions in context with history. The man really is a rock star!
Permalink Reply by albaby on December 6, 2011 at 4:26pm Brett, I don't think loading Paul with softball questions for an hour and 19 minutes and let him talk about himself while he's on the campaign trail will reveal much about the man either, especially if the site is promoting Paul to begin with. Is This the Christian Monitor site where the interview is taking place? Look at Pauls record and at what He's said and done in the past. That would be more telling than his election campaign interviews.
Here are some things he has said:
8:16 PM 10/17/2011
LAS VEGAS, Nevada — Texas Rep. Ron Paul bashed neoconservatives Monday and said that he wouldn’t use taxpayer money to aid an ally even if it was in mortal danger.* Daily Caller
Wartime brainwashing that Islam is inherently warlike If we hate racism, we must also hate war since it is war that has bred malignant types of racism. In our time, we observe the same happening to those of the Islamic faith. Members of both parties demonize people and encourage an anti-Islamic feeling. Christians are being told, as in George Orwell's 1984, that "we've always been at war with Islam," that Islam is an inherently warlike religion, that "they" are taking over America with their mosques, clothing, & law.
Ron Paul. Liberty Defined pp 239-240
Isn't the following the same as Louis Farrakhans "chickens coming home to roost" statement?
Ron Paul reissues claims on American policy and 9/11
Presidential candidate Rep. Ron Paul reiterated his controversial stance Sunday that some policies of the United States contributed to the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.
I could cite many more, but go to the ontheissues.org site. He has been one of only two conservatives to vote with Democrats od several issues-such as voting against a bill (S397) that gave immunity from frivolous lawsuits to the arms industry and dealers for misuse of their products etc. I don't think that he's all he wants you to beleive he is. His religious beliefs are of no importance either. We're electing a President, not a Pope.
Permalink Reply by Brett Pepper on December 7, 2011 at 8:35am You clearly didn't watch the interview...No matter though because his voting record is exactly why I'm voting for him. We are in a soverign debt crisis that will be the end of this country if we don't have real cuts in spending. No one other than Ron Paul is discussing serious cuts. Regardless of how you feel about his foreign policy (which is spot on in my opinion...it's called blowback) it doens't matter because the U.S. dollar is going to crash through the printing of money and then maybe people will begin to wake up when their way of life has been destroyed....

Permalink Reply by albaby on December 7, 2011 at 12:04pm You are correct. I watched part of the interview. It sounded like a teen aged girl was asking Paul scripted questions while they were sitting in a silo. I felt like it was nothing more than a campaign ad. There is more wrong with America than our financial problems and Pauls response to some of them has been more like Obama's than Reagans. Legalize prostituion, drugs, prohibit random drug testing of government employees, allow frivolous lawsuits agianst gun manufacturers for misuse of their products, abandon our allies even if they are in mortal danger, allow the transportation of minors across state lines for illegal abortions, let the states define murder, prohibit murder charges against a person who kills a fetus during the commission of a crime etc. There's a lot not to like about Ron Paul. The Democrats wouldn't have him, the Libertarians didn't vote him in, now he's running as a Republican and as the darling of the Tea Party. He comes across as an old curmudgeon. The only way he could get elected is if the Obama backlash was strong enough. Otherwise he could not win. JMHO
Permalink Reply by Brett Pepper on December 7, 2011 at 2:32pm You sound like the old curmudgeon to me....You didn't even watch the interview....Why do more young people support Ron Paul than any other candidate....Because he's an old curmudgeon? Why does Ron Paul get more than DOUBLE all the other candidates combined from the military donations?
Do you need the government to tell you drugs are bad? Drug use has increased since the failed war on drugs began and the border violence with Mexico has increased as well. If you legalize freedom then the incentive for the criminals goes away. But I understand the notion of personal responsbililty requires some thinking outside the box the social engineers have put you in. You'll understand after the dollar fully collapses. Goodluck and I won't be wasting any more time trying to pull your head out of the sand...You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink it...

Permalink Reply by albaby on December 8, 2011 at 9:56am Why do more young people support Rom Paul more than any other candidate? Could it be because he wants to legalize drugs ot maybe they are too young and inexperienced to know better. The History channel had an interesting show last night called Pearl Harbor-24 hours later. There were some interesting parallels there between FDR, America First, and the ensuing results. I will be rebroadcast, i'm sure.

Permalink Reply by Ed R on December 12, 2011 at 5:01pm Ignorance is bliss ... until you are vaporized or worse ... like gagging in the streets in massive pain trying deperately to breath while your skin litterally bubbles up away from your body. I have litterally studied science for the last 40 years and there are people with the capability to ruin our nation in a matter of moments if we are not prepared and/or do something to protect ourselves before it happens. Yeah! Smile! Be happy! Act as if there are no threats to our way of life or even our life if you like, and vote for Ron paul. Ya know; some people put way too much faith in what others may do. Be prepared for the worst and hope for the best ... or simply live in ignorance.
