Liberty and Freedom

Permalink Reply by Gene Clem on June 13, 2011 at 8:56pm Both Drudge and Real Clear Politics are essential, and I check each one many times daily. Also: Michelle Malkin, Michigan Capitol Confidential, Heritage Foundation, Red State, Breitbart (Big Government, Big Journalism, etc), Boortz, Politico (for a liberal-to-moderate view), American Spectator, Newsmax, Nice Deb, Patterico. Mark Steyn is wonderful, and Ann Coulter is always very provocative. I have others, but would love to hear your list.
PS--You didn't see me mention Daily Kos or Huffington, as they mostly support the vile and hateful rants of Libs. Perhaps they offer a different perspective--which is good to hear, but the hate of conservatives, Bush, Palin, etc, is too much to bear.

Permalink Reply by Malcolm Smith on July 21, 2011 at 8:55am Thank you for the heads-up on the Washington blogspot! You know a website is right on the money when it opens with a quote from Kaptur: Wall Street Greed and Endless Wars Are To Blame For Our Budget Crisis
Says it all right there!

Permalink Reply by Scott Arnett on July 22, 2011 at 2:35am Read Thomas Sowell's "The Housing Bust," The 2008 Omnibus Bill, What tarp and the stimulus bills were spent on and what the Obamacare law is costing us.
Wallstreet greed was do to crony capitalism, enabled and promoted by the federal gov., not by bankers themselves. (They may have had influence on policy, but who, ultimately, does that responsebility fall on?)
Malcolm, if you were told your mortgage company could only do business or expand if you uped the percentage of your mortgages went to subprime folks, how would you feel?
Furthermore, you're told that these mortgages (which are incurring big commissions to your company and employees) are garanteed by taxpayer dollars through Fannie May and Freddie Mac.
The wars, well that's another subject and is almost not worth mentioning due to the magnetude of the other subjects.
