Your opinion counts.

To address the issue of  extending unemployment benefits again,  the Rattle With Us Tea Party has come up with four suggestions. (or possibilities or choices) for you to consider.

We would like as many respondents as possible so we can send our message/thoughts/opinions to Senator Colbeck.

We would like to be able to gather this information by tonight to take to his office by tomorrow morning.

Your participation is greatly appreciated.

1.       I support no extension of federal unemployment benefits and support maintaining 26 weeks in state unemployment benefits.

2.       I support extending federal unemployment benefits by 20 weeks and support maintaining 26 weeks in state unemployment benefits .

3.       I support extending the federal unemployment benefits by 20 weeks and support dropping state unemployment benefits to 20 weeks in one year.

4.       I support extending the federal unemployment benefits by 20 weeks and support dropping state unemployment after one year on a sliding scale starting at 20 weeks if the state unemployment rate is over 10% and moving down to 6 weeks if the unemployment rate drops to <5%.

#1 then #3
#1.  I would rather see the money go into some job retraining, especially for skilled labor and for medical professionals.  Many laid off auto workers have become nurses.

Individuals don't pay any money into the funds, only employers; they only take away, however in the long stretch they receive a lesser wage because of the employers tax.

I support #1.

The time is now to end these handouts.

I support NO EXTENSION of Federal unemployment benefits and keeping the State benefits at 26 weeks only!

We favor option 1.  there should be no extension of unemployment benefits.  We believe extending benefits discourages the unemployed from seeking and/or taking a job that provides compensation similar to what they can get by staying home and collecting unemployment benefits.

NUMBER 1. I went out deer hunting on opening day and I had this guy that was sitting on the property line hunting my property.  I went up  to him and told him not shoot anything on my property.  He wasn't happy about it as he had been bow hunting this way all season.  We got into a conversation and it turns out he hasn't worked for two hunting seasons now as he's been on unemployment for a very long time and as long as he's collecting a check he's not going back to work, the government gives him more then he can earn.  Any of you bleeding heart liberals reading this?  YOU DON'T WORK YOU DON'T EAT.
From reading all the blogs I'm convinced we will never get out of the whole were in, people have been indoctrinated by the tooth fairy to well.
#1 - We've extended these benefits much too long
#1, #2
We support no extension of federal unemployment benefits and support maintaining 26 wks in state unemployment benefits.
No sense worrying any longer, appears they have voted to increase it again, I beleive option #3, which is the second best choice.
