Dear Sir,

I would like to know if the Lakeshore School district plans to show the President's September 8th video and speech to our kids?

I believe the content and curriculum is past the line of indoctrination and has no business in the public school system. This attempt by the administration to force his agenda on our children is irrepreprehensible and should not be allowed nor tolerated. It certainly is not and will not be by me. I hope and pray my tax dollars will not be subjugated in this manner and smarter heads will prevail in this matter.

Hey all,
Listen, thanks Jim for the weblink to check out the president's address to the kids on Sept. 8th....I just spent about twenty minutes too long reading first, the 7-12 level as our daughter is a 7th grader this year. First, my confusion started with the title of the "program"....Menu? What is this...a restaurant list of learning? OMG...then reading it, I became more confused...what's so revolutionary about his ideas that he has to address students about setting goals for students to work hard for good grades, thinking about personal responsibility? By the way...my daughter in 6th grade had a form to fill out last year that included all of that stuff....without then President Bush having to be televised to "indoctrinate" the kids to his agenda....

Then, I read the kindergarten-elementary school level "menu of activities" and became outraged. It was much more agenda driven and blatant about an almost "worshipping" of our government leaders...there wasn't anything in there about questioning those leaders decisions or their goals...and besides people....these are small minds...they're more concerned with...who am I going to play with on recess? Will I choose to use the swings today or play on the climbing wall?

While reading this...as a parent...I got chills on my arms...it felt like Nazi Germany and Hitler indoctrinating the younger children on the Third Reicht. I am planning on calling our school this morning and speaking with our principal and then I'm going to try and contact the elusive Superintendent.

I'll let you know if the school is planning on opting out of participating or planning on providing a room for students who don't want to listen to the propaganda.

Ya know, I've been thinkin' lately....I really hope the "over the top" behavior from this white house continues. You see what it's doin' to the poll numbers. O'bama's the the most valuable player on our team right now! LOL!
