As far as UofM v WMU,  my point was that it is a source from a liberal education system. You fail to address the crux of my statement, but rather attack what you see as a mistake on my part. No comment about "These are the same folks that have rewritten our history and taught our young adults that Christian values are outdated and bigoted. I choose to study the teachings of my church and independant think tanks and then make up my mind based on reasoning. I also depend on much family history that has been drilled into me by family  members who escaped socialist governments"?  I didn't click on your link because quite frankly I don't trust links provided on forums, chat rooms or social sites...the potential for virus is too high. Your link to what is posted as the Koran may or may not be accurate. Any document should be read from it's source - the actual book itself - and not some posting on the internet. We all know that anyone can post any thing online but that doesn't make it official or accurate. Thank you, and have a good day!

albaby, we do really know eachother.  we see eachother at meetings, functions, volunteer asignments, the grocery store, ect.  we can place a name with a face.  and we are not ashamed to be associated with the tea party- we are in fact-very proud of it.  we demonstrate this by volunteering our time and money and treating eachother with respect.  if you are so ashamed of us then by all means move on to a group that causes you less stress

What is there to sneak in? Show me where discussing an ACD is bad? Do TPers consider this a victory of sorts?

As far as being defensive, who wouldn't be when people like Jennifer (Like most libs, you have the uncanny ability to ignore direct correlations, facts, and truth.) and PP call you a progressive mole etc. I find it humor in the fact that I am called a lib and progressive mole on this board, but on a newpaper forum I am called a right wing neocon.  I guess that puts me right in the middle with people who are capable of there own thinking and do not follow the mandatory group think of either side. As far as who I am-does it matter? Do you ask Conservative Candace who she is? Are the topics persons or politics?

I joined the Tea Party but did not want my name associated with it until I saw what it really was about. After looking at some of these posts, I'm not sure I want my name associated with the TP because some of these people are irrational and seem to have their thoughts guided by emails.

But again, they're only 4 or 5 out of 99 members

I don't consider correcting a false statement to be rude. It may make the person who made it uncomfortable, but that's too bad.

hey albaby...i dont think there is a person that has posted on this website that you havent been rude, defensive, or sarcastic to....pretty easy to be rude when your identity is hidden.  i have never seen tea party members be disrespectful to each other- but i see you being rude to everyone.  very unprofessional albaby

Blaze.com Headline:   Obama Admin. Kills ‘End-of-Life-Counseling’

Became a little too controversial at this time.  They'll sneak it in later.

Didn't pay much attention, did you Candace. The source is the University of Michigan, not WMU. You didn't even click on the site because the link is to the Koran, not an interpertation of it. Tell me, what do you consider a meaningful source?
Comment by Conservative Candace on January 6, 2011 at 9:08am
Sorry albaby, I submit that using a source from the liberal education system (WMU) is not meaningful. These are the same folks that have rewritten our history and taught our young adults that Christian values are outdated and bigoted. I choose to study the teachings of my church and independant think tanks and then make up my mind based on reasoning. I also depend on much family history that has been drilled into me by family  members who escaped socialist governments.

Jennifer: Tell me what your studies of the Quran have revealed these to mean. I want to know what your thoughts are-not someone elses.

1.[2.106] Whatever communications We abrogate or cause to be forgotten, We bring one better than it or like it. Do you not know that Allah has power over all things?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1.[16.101] And when We change (one) communication for (another) communication, and Allah knows best what He reveals, they say: You are only a forger. Nay, most of them do not know.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1.[17.106] And it is a Quran which We have revealed in portions so that you may read it to the people by slow degrees, and We have revealed it, revealing in portions.

now now albaby....dont need to be sarcastic or defensive....whoever you are

Like the Bible, the Quran has many interpretations. Reading the Quran and understanding it them can be two entirely different things. Islam also has regional interpretationsSame for the Bible. Even scholars who have made studying Islam a  career have different opinions.  . You should contact them and tell them you have the real scoop on Islam.  Here is a link that is searchable.

http://quod.lib.umich.edu/k/koran/

I also find you quite pretentious not only in the Islam discussion but in others where you try to present yourself as an authority, such as:

Read the entire Energy Independence Act and it's amazing what Pelosi et al.

Did you read the entire bill?

"If you've read the pertinent sections of the death bill, you know that these annual "sessions" with a dr who is being paid by the government to encourage you to die are NOT optional."

I have proven the YOU had not read the pertinent sections of the health bill but were apparently parroting someone else who hadn't read it either.
