While you're at it-why not look at something a little closer to home. I seldom see replies on the bills unless it involves motorcycle helmets etc. Why aren't more replying to this Michiganvotes site where (I imagine)  politicians would visit.

Todd, what chance do you think the would have stood if they wanted to apply it retroactivley to those in office and still had a vote in the matter? We wouldn't evenm have the bill we now have.

If anybody want to take the time to read this.This is some stuff I sent to both Psholka and Tyler. Hope it makes sense.To Psholka as follows: I am a registered voter in your district. I have already left a message with a person at your office, but I want to make sure you get it. I have already sent Rep Tyler an e-mail expressing my dismay about the proposed legislation regarding your term limits. Really? Of all the many problems that face our state this is the first thing that needs to be addressed? The following is what I told her, I sincerely hope you will take the time to read it. E-mail to Rep Tyler_ "Since you are the sponsor of this piece of crap legislation, I believe you should be notified. Politicians see their election as some sort of right that continues in perpetuity and you legislate laws to insure that you can remain in those positions. Well, don't get too comfortable. "We the People" elected you and supported you and what is the first piece of legislation that you come up with? A sneaky back-door way to ensure your job security!

 

"We the People" are watching what is going on and so far our first impression of you is how can we guarantee that you will not be elected again if you continue to legislate issues with only yourselves in mind. Am I a "Tea Partier"? You bet!! And we are watching. If you want our support in the future, pay very close attention to what you do in the present because I guarantee you we are paying attention."

Albaby- you are missing the point. They cut the benefits for their political show while ensuring they got their piece of they pie. The self serving attitude of our politicians on the broken backs of the voters is exactly what's wrong with our political system

Todd, wern't  Proo's and Jelineks benefits part of the package before they were elected? How many people do you know that volutarily refused benefits that were promised to them when they took a job? The new legislators took the job knowing the benefits were removed.
