It would also help a lot if people were more careful with birth control (hey, it's free and easy) and quit sleeping around so much. But some single moms WANT a lot of kids (that they don't take care of) bec of the payoff.
Learned last night at the TPP mtg that apparently the actual law on welfare payments in MI has always been that welfare lasts no more than 4 yrs (cumulative). Would be interesting to read it if someone has the time to look into it. Clearly, never been enforced.
