Mark, these same union members blame the employers when their $40/hour jobs plus bennys go overseas. Also, how about those who don't want to join the union but are forced to pay union dues and see their money going to support the Democrats?  People an this board talk about money being stolen from their paychecks to support government programs they don't like, but I don't hear any complaints about being forced to contribute to unions. Hooray for Indiana. Now they need to get rid of the 9 Republicans that voted against the bill.

We're good. Moving to what I want to talk about, (snicker, snort, )...again....When I think of unions I can't help but wonder what runs through the mind of an employer on paydays. When you know that a portion of those checks you just wrote are being donated to powerful Democratic lawmakers determined to continue raising your taxes and increasing business regulation. Call me crazy, but I'd say there's just a little conflict in interest there.

Mark, No one has a better sense of humor than I ...................But when you are hounded day in and day out on the same issue and it never ends you kinda take offense at it and it just had to stop..........(I understand you were gone for a bit).I take the problems that we have at our governmental level very serioulsy and we don't have much time to do something to stop this maniac or "another" maniac who takes his place...........If you don't know the ROOT of what's happening then you may just vote for anohter and another and another of the same thing............I happen to look for the "reason" these fellows do the things they do and have been doing for about 100 years now....It actually may go back further than that, so I PAY ATTENTION :-)

I see you are from Watervliet..........That's where all my 5 kids went to school.........Has the school ever recovered that attack ?

I never intend to offend on a like minded site as this one. Dry humor and yelling at my TV are the only things keeping my sanity afloat. Perhaps an  "extremely dry humor"  warning is in order. Now you've been warned, o.k.? O.K.

I accept your apology.............It was the "conspiracy" comments that I objected to and I've had quite enough of it as others have............Did you know that at one time long, long ago it was a conspiracy that the earth was round ? There have been many, many other conspiracies over the eons that have turned out to be true so it's always better to look and be alert than to be sorry!............I will continue to look behind bushes, and under rocks to find the truth. I will also continue to be suspicious of our government because our forefathers warned us to do just that............See you at the next meeting and possibly the next planning meeting........Have a good one !

I am sorry if you took offense to my responding to Al about his comment on having to reset his password, since I too have experienced the same thing. I was a bit concerned when I had to reset my password on this site and I am one of the moderators! I have thought many times about how others really could harness and control our Freedom of Speech.

My comment to Mark was in fact the truth. I do lock my doors, my curtains were closed and it was late and wasn’t going to answer the phone. It is a tad scary to think that I am the chairperson of this group who puts their name and contact information out there for anyone and everyone to see. As for any other comments, it’s called Freedom of Speech, which goes both ways.

If you recall, I spent quite a bit of time with you on the phone when you were experiencing trouble with this site. You expressed to me the idea that someone might be trying to block you from commenting. I assured you I would do all I could to resolve this issue, which it obviously has been.

I look forward to seeing you and your friends at the next Planning / Tea Party Meeting.

Mari,  By the way What did I say to yours or someone elses child that was rude ?

I have only seen one child there and he is about 14. I remember at one meeting several meetings ago, I told his father that I thought it was really "great" that he brought his son to the meetings and I tought it would be nice if more parents would do the same...........

Other than that I have never even spoken to him at all ! If that was rude, I guess I don't know the meaning of rude......I thought it was a very nice thing to say ?
