Jennifer, I think your right, but I don't believe Paul is naive. He is an educated man and does understand the threat, but does not perceive it to be to the extremes that some do. On the other hand he can be taught. Idiots do not practice medicine and become experts in economics on their own. Nor do they become congressman who serve multiple terms while refusing to blow with the winds.
Jennifer I'm totally for anyone on the dole to be subject to scrutiny and to make sure they work and not use the entitlements for purposes other than what they are intended for. Abosulutely agree with it and support it.
Gingrich called for Obama care and mandates in 2009.. recording. After you listen to this please convince me that he is conservative or Tea Party material.
Yea, the last sentence in your first paragraph is what some of us here in the TP have been saying for some time. He is the "ONLY" true conservative in the race. A vote for any of the other three is a vote for business as usual. Is that what we want, I think not. Have you heard that his salary will be $39,000 in office cause that's what the base salary is for most Americans. He's not in it for the money, he's in it for Americans.
He has not waffled on his issues for the last twenty or so years. Can't say that for ANY of the others. And his predictions are coming true ie:the Federal Reserve Bank, Fannie and Freddie, etc.
New MI Senate Bills to Require Drug Testing, Community Service for Welfare Recipients
MI Senate bills 904 and 905 would require drug testing of welfare recipients and require recipients to perform community service. It’s a step—at least a small one—in the right direction, and the left is vocally opposing it (surprise, surprise!). Of course, the state will have to create program administrators for this . . . someone to keep tabs on ppl who aren’t happy to be doing community service, but if enough is required, it might make ppl think twice before applying for “benefits”.
Sponsored by Sen. Joe Hune
To encourage Proos to support these bills:

Shari'a is a clear and present danger to the Constitution. Certainly voting ppl into office who understand that threat is an important goal (one of my concerns with Paul--but he's pretty much the only conservative candidate left at this point).
The most important thing is to know who you're voting for. Obama has brought more Muslims into his admin than any potus before him, and it shows. A DoD anti-terrorism briefing was cancelled in Aug last year when CAIR discovered who the speakers were (Coughlin/Guandolo). C and G equate Islam with terrorism (duh!).
In response, CAIR called the White House and the briefing was immediately canceled. Not only was it canceled, but the WH also announced that it would be re-writing all defense training manuals (FBI, CIA, DoD, etc) so that no connection with Islam and terrorism could be made. In other words, we're not even allowed to talk about the truth now. This is an extremely stupid and dangerous step. And that's what we've gotten with BO in the WH.
Same reasoning applies on state and local levels. It isn't enough to know whether or not the candidate is Muslim, but we also need to know if they are sympathetic to Islam. Will the candidate appoint Muslims or support shari'a?
Consider Dearborn. Muslim chief of police. A Christian group was handing out tracts to ppl at the Arab Festival (but they were not in the festival area itself, just outside on the streets). They've been doing this for 7 or 8 yrs. No hassles until the last couple years, after the Muslim police chief took office. they were arrested and eventually won a lawsuit against the city of Dearborn bec their First Amendment rights were violated. And they aren't the first ones to bring a lawsuit on that city due to de facto sharia taking precedence over our civil liberties.
Hamtramck is another example. 7 or 8 yrs ago, the city council passed an ordinance allowing the call to prayer to be broadcast over loudspeakers. It actually violated Hamtramck's existing noise ordinance. So why did this pass? Because 3 Muslims were elected to the city council.
Local offices often run unopposed (consider precinct delegates). The MB advises Muslims to get involved in local government--and use their power to further jihad. This is happening on school boards, in precinct delegate races, village and town councils, etc. Typically for offices that ppl pay very little attention to. And we pay for that.
I advocate not allowing ppl who support shari'a into this country. If they want shari'a, there are plenty of existing countries they can live in--Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Egypt, Indonesia, etc. No one has a "right" to be an American citizen just because they live on earth.
Thanks Jennifer, I truly don't have the time to immerse myself in this as there ae many who understand it better than I. What my question was for you is what is your proposed solution to the problem and how does that fir into the TEA Party Agenda. You are the only one I know so deeply involved in this. Like Janet says we have to keep the constitution a viable and honored document or all else will fail. I just look for solutions and see Ron Paul as the only one who is defending our rights under that document right now. Perhaps he is short on foreign policy, but the current policy can never work in the long run. It is bankrupting the nation as we speak and truly the killing off of an entire religion worldwide cannot be what you suggest. So please offer solutions promoted by those who you communicate with. I am quite interested.
You have both covered this subject very well. So I will just write a few words.
Everyone has his/her goals or agenda's and most are good worthy causes. BUT with the constant chipping away of our CONSTITUTION none of us will be able to achieve what we want along with the stable and glorious country we once had, If we don't first secure the CONSTITUTION and RESTORE THE REPUBLIC.
Would you build a house before "first" pouring a sound foundation ? Certainly not !
This applies to everything..........
We not only have lost our very foundation (CONSTITUTION) but we have had it pulled out from under us.
Our CONSTITUTION is the ONLY tool we need or have to fix our many , many issues. When it is gone it is all over for America.........
What I suggest is to vote for the candidate who stands for the CONSTITUTION.
He says the same thing over and over and has for years, regardless of the votes............In other words he doesn't "flipflop" JUST to get the votes.
The same CONSTITUTION as the "Tea Party" stands for.
" Mission Statement" of the "Tea Party"
When I read the "Mission Statement" It sounds like Ron Paul to me !
Yes, they will have to proceed on First Amendment grounds. And they will also investigate the CAIR connection. I suggest reading about the Holy Land Foundation Trial--you can read the docs presented as evidence on TX fed court website.
HLFT proved that 90% of the Islamic organizations in the U.S. (and most abroad) are in fact Muslim Brotherhood. The entire trial was based on a house search by the FBI of a suspected terrorist, Elbarrasse. In his home, they found the archives of the MB since it had been in America, dating back to the 1960s (canceled checks, memos, 1, 5, and 10 yr objectives, lists of foundations and organizations, etc).
I also highly recommend Muslim Mafia by Sperry and Gaubatz. The son of an FBI agent posed as a newly converted Muslim and went undercover in CAIR (internship) for several months. Was able to bring out thousands of docs CAIR planned to shred (he was put in charge of paper shredding and didn't.)
The question is, why is CAIR still permitted in the US? The answer is bec they have friends in very high places.
"most people do not follow the teachings of the Old testament and therefore "most" muslims also do not follow the radical teachings of radical Islam."
This is a common misconception, based on not understanding what the Qur'an and hadith teach, and often not knowing what the Bible actually says. It is the logical fallacy of a false premise. It is usually based on the assumption that all religions operate the same way. They don't.
The most obvious difference between the two books is that the Bible nowhere calls for universal killing of everyone who doesn't follow the Bible. This is a major and important difference. The Qur'an, on the other hand, does--particularly in the Medina chapters.
The Qur'an itself teaches that it is progressive revelation ((17.106 (middle Mecca); 16.101 (late Mecca); 2.106 (Medina); 76.23 (Medina). It has to be read chronologically to understand how violent it is. The final chapters (those revealed in Medina) call for killing all unbelievers. Check out the chronological order of the Qur'an--some of the final revelations are 4, 48, 8, 9. And remember, Islam is never JUST a religion--it is also ALWAYS a government. 1300 years of seeing Islam in action should have taught all of us what happens when people follow the Qur'an.
This is not just a problem for Christians. Everyone who is not Muslim must deal with this.
The goal of Islam--and for Muslims worldwide--is to establish the global caliphate that will be ruled by shari'a law, not the U.S. Constitution. The teaching of the Q and hadith make it clear that Muslims are not to wage all out war until they have enough numbers to win. Currently in the U.S. they don't have those numbers, but they're working on it.
Again, the Q and hadith spell out several ways to "fulfill the obligation of jihad". For those who don't wish to fight outright, they can 1) fund those who do, via zakat payments and Muslim "charities", 2) get religious training, become a cleric, and rouse the troops, or 3) provide other support for those who fight (food, hideouts, etc).
Most ppl are born peaceful. Most Muslims would prefer that Americans simply convert to Islam. But if we don't, they do know what the only other option is.
Muslims, then, who are "peaceful" can simply pay zakat and live quiet, peaceful lives. But is there really any difference between the wife who pays a hit man to kill her husband and the guy who pulls the trigger?
Read my blog on lying, also. That is a commandment for Muslims--not an option. Most people don't realize this and so believe whatever an imam tells them.
Again, the flyer on Understanding the Qur'an is posted on the National/Local group. It contains some links where you can download a free Qur'an.
Without reading the Qur'an and hadith, it reallly isn't possible to have a good understanding of the truth about Islam.
Jennifer, you can claim that is the case and in fact it may be true, however as I said originally the disbursement of the group is a violation of Am I of US law. I believe lawfully, that would be the only way to approach that issue. It happens to be a violation of US law and Michigan law well established and seeded in the deepest of roots. I would assume there would be a constitutional attorney within the group of hundreds that would be willing to drag the actions of these police departments into a US or Michigan Court and file a class action suit. That would be, in my opinion, how you would have to start. It is within that venue that the use and enforcement of "defacto Shari'a law" could and would be exposed. Just a thought. I personally am not nearly as well versed on this issue. I have a copy of the Quaran, but do not have the time to delve head first into this issue. To me however, the Old testament is pretty barbaric as well and demanding retribution and quite vengeful. So I still believe that most people do not follow the teachings of the Old testament and therefore "most" muslims also do not follow the radical teachings of radical Islam. I have to agree that an element exists and I applaud you for taking the stand you have and being as informed about it as you are. However, I do wonder what is your preferred solution to the problem you portray. Just to cover some bases regarding some previous posts, there certainly are conspiracies going on all the time. People who don't want to believe that are literally living in the dark.
