Liberty and Freedom
Welcome to our web site. A little explaination before you dive in and get lost:
o Mission and Principles are located on this page:
o Groups
We are organized in groups; some are geographical, others are interest groups. In the geographical areas, if you live in Centerville, you most probably want to join the St. Joseph County group for example. Everyone is encourage to become a member of the group 'Everyone'.
You can view whatever is in any group, however in order to take part in discussions and group messaging, you need to join that group. If you are interested in internet marketing, you may want to join the Internet group and help drive our internet outreach efforts for example.
You can get to the groups using the Groups tab at the top of the page or from the listing at the bottom of the left column on the Home page.
o Recent Activity
This is a handy little area on the left column of the Home page that allows you to see what has been going on recently in the site. For example it may say "Joe commented on discussion Hot Stuff in Group Admin". If you click on 'Joe', you go to Joe's page; click on 'commented' and it takes you to Joe's comment; click on 'Hot Stuff' and you get the discussion, etc. Kinda neat, eh?
o Posting
When posting items or comments, there may be a tag line on the page. If there is, please type in some key words so they can be searched on later. In many of the areas you will see a search box with a magnifing class at the right side of it; this allows you to search for keywords quickly.
o Messages
You have an inbox. You can send and receive messages between different members. A copy of the message will show up in the inbox of the email address that they gave upon sign up so they will know they have a message in their site inbox. You have to reply from the site, but the message in your inbox has a link that will take you to the message on the site. Use messaging instead of comments on each other's wall in order to keep from cluttering up the walls.
Feel free to explore, click on stuff and see what happens. You might find something we haven't discovered yet; if so let everybody know.
