Communicating in a Social Media is different from face-to-face communication. Only the words are seen, not facial expressions, inntonance or tone of voice. Pay careful attention to how you use your vocabulary. Words entered in a burst of passion or anger will remain for you and everyone else to see. They remain long after the intense feeling has passed. We do not discourage spontaneity and provide a friendly reminder of the long-term effects of what you post. You may, from time to time, find yourself in disagreement with someone else's opinion or your own commentary when reflecting on the posting.
Keep in mind everyone will not agree 100% of the time. We need to celebrate and focus on the 90% we do agree on. When a disagreement arises, be polite and take issue with commentary, position, or votes rather than the person.
