Wonderful! I hope we have a full house of organizers. The more we can collaborate and share with each other the stronger we will become as a whole in Michigan. Incidentally, Michael Patrick Leahy, moderator of the Nationwide Tea Party Coalition and author of the most recent book "Rules for Conservative Radicals", has provided the attached map where Michigan has been written off as a "Forget State". As a member of the Coalition I have had a discussion with him that he is wrong. His reply is as follows:
The key is that those of you in "Forget" States need to adopt strategies designed to make trouble and divert Left Wing resources from "Solid" and "Persuadable" States.

How you do that-- well that's your unique challenge !

I just wish I could attend the nationwide organzers' meeting in Dallas on Oct. 24th but I have a family matter I must be present for instead. I don't believe others around the country realize how effective we as organizers have been here and can be here in the "forgotten state".

The Michigan Tea Party Organizers are going to have their second bi-monthly meeting on October 18 at 3 p.m. in what looks likely to be Midland. This is still being discussed. The website is http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Michigan-TeaParty-Organizers/. Tina, Fred, and I attended the first meeting in Lansing where Gene Clem was the moderator. I would really encourage you to try to attend this next meeting.

Jim, Congrats on forming the Holland Patriot Group. I think it is a great idea and would love to network with other groups. There no reason each of us should try to reinvent the wheel, when there are so many grassroots patriot groups forming. We need to stand together and let our government know that we are a force that is not going away just because they call us names, or ignore the fact hundreds of thousands patriots participated in a peaceful demonstration in Washington DC on 9/12/2009. We are still growing and I for one will not let my country and all that we stand for be taken away without a fight. I have never paid too much attention to politics, had my head in the sand, but in my heart I know that our country is being attacked by the very people we elected to represent us, they are ignoring the general population to further their own private agendas. I am mad as HELL and will not stick my head back in the sand and hope that someone else will do something about this mess.
Kazoo has been very helpful and supportive in growing the Twin Cities Group.
We are still relatively new, July 4th was the start of any organized group. I was asked to be the chairperson, because of my passion and Paul Peterson who organized our July 4th rally has thrown his hat into the political ring.
We have had a fundraiser picnic, a rally on 9/12, participated in our county fair, and are meeting regularly trying to figure out where to put our time and energy and really have an impact.
Gene Clem from Kazoo is someone you may want to talk to also.
Let me know how I can help you, and again welcome to SW MI Patriots.
We the people can make a difference.
