December 15, 2011 from 10am to 2pm
DescriptionFREE LUNCH! Now that I have your attention: We are looking for 10 to 15 folks who can spare time on Dec. 15th to help out with our 'A Kalamazoo Christmas' effort. On the 15th we plan on moving all the coats, gloves, hats, toys, blankets, etc from the sorting center to Stockbridge Ave. UMC so that they can complete preparation of the church for the event on Sunday the 18th. None of it is heavy lifting, but lots of hands make for light work, eh? We should be able to load out at…See More

December 6, 2011 from 12pm to 1:15pm
DescriptionIf you are a home owner, you know that your annual property taxes are calculated based on the assessed value of your home. Welcome Fellow Patriot,

First, I’d like to personally thank you for your interest in the SW Michigan Tea Party Patriots. I believe you will find comfort in knowing there are many folks just like you who are sick and tired of the way our country is headed.

Thomas Jefferson

The following is a condensed version of our mission statement.

SOUTHWEST MICHIGAN TEA PARTY PATRIOTS

The Mission of the SWMI Tea Party Patriots is to communicate to our elected officials the message that they must return to the principles upon which our nation was founded: Individual liberty, limited government, and a respect for the Constitution. The SWMI Tea Party Patriots is a true grassroots organization. We are not united under a single political party or leader; however, we are united under the following Core Principles:
• Respect for the Constitution
• Limited Government
• Separation of Powers
• Protection of Individual and Property Rights
• Fiscal Responsibility
• Free Trade and Commerce
• Fairer, Flatter, More Equitable Tax System

“In the beginning of a change the patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and hated and scorned.
When his cause succeeds, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot.”

Mark Twain
