I can't make it to GR tomorrow, but it would be great if someone would plug S604 for me. A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 75% of Americans favor auditing the Federal Reserve and making the results available to the public. HR 1207, the sister bill in congress, now has 281 cosponsors and S604 has 20 cosponsors.
PS, let Levin know that… Continue

The Cash for Clunkers program crashed last night with no notice to car dealers. They were left hanging having made sales, cars out the door and a government system that just shut down with no notice. I was responsible for the network of a major regional bank at one time. If the ATM network had a problem, I heard about it from another VP in a far flung part of the bank within five minutes and was graded severly on recovery times.
But the government can set up something and then just… Continue

It’s easy to understand. Reporters and anchors actually like higher gas prices – even if viewers or readers don’t. Remember, you don’t count
Here are five reasons journalists use to convince themselves high gas prices are news they can use.
1. High Prices Make News
It doesn’t matter what gas is selling for if journalists want to make news. What matters is how much it might sell sometime in the future. The higher the price, the bigger the potential news.… Continue

This is Bob Moore from the Elkhart Co Tea Party (IN).
Obama coming to Elkhart on Wed 8/5. We need to make a nationally visible statement about his socialist approach to governing - We are against it.
We could use your help in this effort. Obama should not leave here thinking he has persuaded us he is a good president, and that he has support form us. He is not had he does not.
But he does have MSNBC located here (at the Elkhart "Truth") to spin the message for… Continue

THIS IS SO INCREDIBLY WELL PUT AND I CAN HARDLY BELIEVE IT'S BY A YOUNG PERSON, A STUDENT!!! WHATEVER HE RUNS FOR, I'LL VOTE FOR HIM.
Dear American liberals, leftists, social progressives, socialists, Marxists, Obama supporters, et al:
We have stuck together since the late 1950's, but the whole of this latest election process has made me realize that I want a divorce. I know we tolerated each other for many years for the sake of future generations,… Continue

What a profound short little paragraph
"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it… Continue

By Mitt Romney
Because of President Obama's frantic approach, health care has run off the rails. For the sake of 47 million uninsured Americans, we need to get it back on track.
Remember in 2012: Mr. Romney is in favor of a National Health plan.... and he thinks there are 47 million uninsured in America! This is the fellow who left the State of Massachusetts running a growing deficit… Continue

This healthcare reform bill is one of the scariest things I have seen since O'bama fired the CEO of a private company and took it over! How can we as Americans stand by and allow an unelected panel of 5 people appointed by the Executive branch decide who gets what kind of healthcare? Doesn't the left keep and hold true the montra "...it's my body and the decision is between me and my doctor" when it comes to abortion? But they want to control who lives, if you do get past the abortion phase,… Continue

(you can keep up with it at www.thomas.gov)
Thanks to the folks at the Plymouth Tea Party group, here are some salient points (and don't you wish someone in the media, or even your Senators or Representative told you about these?):

You might want to google "define: monopsony
" before reading:
The Science and Public Policy Institute announces the publication of Climate Money, a study by Joanne Nova revealing that the federal Government has a near-monopsony on climate science funding. This distorts the science towards self-serving alarmism. Key findings:
Ø The US Government has spent more than $79 billion of taxpayers’ money since 1989 on policies related to climate change, including… Continue

This is from an article in the St. Petersburg, FL Times Newspaper. The Business Section asked readers for ideas on "How Would You Fix the Economy?"
Dear Mr. President:
Please find below my suggestion for fixing America 's economy. Instead of giving billions of dollars to companies that will squander the money on lavish parties and unearned bonuses, use the following plan.
You can call it the Patriotic Retirement Plan:
There are about 40 million people… Continue
