Glenn Beck just reported some of the estimates on the crowd size at his 8/28 Restoring Liberty rally:
"First was there was tens of thousands of people here. The latest I heard were two: the first at over 300,000. And the next at over 500,000. And if those are the estimates the media is giving, God only knows."
Jillian noted earlier reports that the crowd was over 500,000. The "low estimate" Beck referred to was likely the national… Continue

Much of the MSM is horrified -- horrified! -- by the Beck rally at the Lincoln Memorial today. Well, we'll know whether they're right when we look at what the speakers have said. In the end, that's what matters . . . not how they're characterized by their political adversaries in the media and elsewhere, but by the message they spread.
And let's hope that anyone on the left who protests the site or the timing of the rally has likewise… Continue

Maureen Dowd: Obama Needs Bush's Help On Ground Zero Mosque
By Noel Sheppard (Bio | Archive)
Wed, 08/18/2010 - 11:06 ET
Mark August 18, 2010, on your calendar as the day New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd published a piece bashing Barack Obama and praising George W. Bush.
This comes less than 24 hours after CNN.com did exactly the same thing over the same issue.
Needless to say, Dowd's position in her column entitled "Our… Continue

When Missouri voters attempted to stop ObamaCare at the ballot box via the initiative process, the national news media took notice. In the August 3 vote, 7 in 10 voters in the "Show Me State" supported Proposition C, which overturns government mandates requiring health insurance. Proposition C actually bars penalties against people who pay their own health bills without insurance.
On August 2, U.S. District Judge Henry E. Hudson ruled against a U.S. Justice Department request to… Continue

"The race card is maxed out."
That was the punch line for a recent hilarious exchange on "The Daily Show" in which Larry Wilmore, the faux news program's "senior black correspondent," reported that the race card is not only over its credit limit but is in fact "void during a black presidency." This discovery came in the wake of Maxine Waters' allegation that her political problems stem from a racially biased congressional ethics investigation.
Wilmore said he should have… Continue

Having realized that he has, once again, exposed himself as someone fundamentally unsympathetic and out-of-touch with the most basic values and principles of the majority of Americans, the President is running for cover.
He is attempting to "clarify" what sounded a lot like support for the construction of a mosque at Ground Zero.
Mark the President down as switching his vote -- from present, to "aye", and now, back to present.
The problem for the President… Continue

When you think of California , what comes to mind?
Beautiful beaches, San Francisco , Disneyland and Hollywood are the Golden State’s trademarks. Yet the huge land mass between San Francisco and Hollywood – that region known as the San Joaquin Valley – comprises one of the world’s most fertile, and most productive agricultural regions.
And the residents of this agricultural region believe that Barack Obama and his policies have hurt them pretty badly.
It’s a… Continue

Barack Obama this week extended his “best wishes to Muslims in America and around the world” and wished them a “Ramadan Kareem.” And he wrote, as he did in last year’s Ramadan message also, about “the principles that we hold in common, and Islam’s role in advancing justice, progress, tolerance, and the dignity of all human beings.”
Which principles do we hold in common? Death for apostates? The legitimacy of honor killing? I don’t begin to know what Obama is talking about here. Other… Continue

U.S. first lady Michelle Obama and daughter Sasha had lunch with Spain's king and queen on Sunday at the royal family's holiday retreat on the resort island of Mallorca in the Mediterranean.
Mrs. Obama and her daughter arrived at Marivent palace shortly before 1 p.m. and were greeted at the front door of the residence by King Juan Carlos, Queen Sofia and Princess Letizia.
The king, a keen yachtsman, has for decades spent August vacations at the palace with its dramatic… Continue

There is a virus going around that will place a green shield on your desktop. Once it installs itself you are unable to open any meaningful programs and it starts using pop ups and taking you to some questionable sights..
The solution which worked for me is an online virus and malware scanner called Bit Defender.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents believe overwhelmingly that their department leadership has become so politicized as to compromise the effectiveness of ICE and the safety of American people. Their union has released a letter announcing its recent unanimous “vote of no confidence” in ICE agency heads, accusing them of… Continue

Material girl Michelle Obama is a modern-day Marie Antoinette on a glitzy Spanish vacation
Thursday, August 5th 2010, 1:53 AM
First Lady Michelle Obama smiles while she visits Marbella, southern Spain.
Sacrifice is something that many Americans are becoming all too familiar with during this economic downturn. It was a key theme in President Obama's inaugural address to the nation, and he's referenced it numerous times when lecturing the country on… Continue
