Southwest MI Patriots

Liberty and Freedom

Hi there all!

Sorry I haven't been around as much, sparking off and all. I have been working on the pamplets, and the graphics and layouts are coming along a real treat, but I would love to have some ideas of subjects you would like to see covered. Also Ideas of websites, with accurate, well cited tax data would be an awesome help.

I want everyone to shout out ideas no matter how obvious because I really want pamplets that speak from the heart of all of us.
kthnx Ya'll are awesome,

Tia

Pictures and large print will do the trick! Forces you to K.I.S.S.

I think as long as we are not too wordy and use pictures, people will be interested in the pamphlets. The worse pamphlets are the ones that have a ton of words, so I like many of the suggestions for the pictures with very specific points that support our position

Maybe we can use a copy of constitution or portrait of a patriot Jefferson, Adams, or a copy of the signing portrait as a backdrop for whatever points we choose to put on the pamphlets or even a combination.

Tia,

I would like to see our pamphlets list all of the various taxes that people have to pay. There was a list floating around the internet a while ago that I wish I had saved that was astonishing. It really made me angry. It started with sales taxes and went on to list the various taxes, fees and costs that government imposes. I believe it would be a very effective recruitment tool. I don't know where to find it but you might know where to look with all of your internet skills.

I would like to see a single sheet flyer designed and a tri-fold. Should have eye catchers such as a patriot, and/or flag. The single sheet should list 8 or 10 points that can be a combination of our core values and current issues. Should be 18/20 point text to catch attention but not write a book about each thing we are angry about this week!!! Gotta get their attention long enough for them to sign up with us or sign up on our web site.

Whatever we design could be used to hand out at a table at a festival this summer or left at gun shops, sporting goods stores, etc.

Just a thought that in pamphlet/brochure we incorporate images of the Constitution, Flag, and Eagle their eye catching and a great symbols of patriotism. Jim

Tia,

Some stream-of-consciousness thoughts about the message in our pamphlet...

I think the front of the pamphlet/brochure should COMPEL one want to read what's inside, check the details on our Tea Party patriot movement. How 'bout a simple question (or two), such as "Do you want to pay MORE in taxes?" or "Do you believe you pay too LITTLE in taxes?" or "Does the Government take too much of your hard-earned money in taxes?" Perhaps a second question, such as "Do you want the government involved in EVERY aspect of your life?"

I understand the pamphlet can't have a ton of info, that it will just describe our principles, provide basic info about the Tea Party movement...but if the pamphlet makes one question taxation, government intrusion, and a citizen's response to these matters, it has done it's job, and may make one want to learn more about us.

I'm not much of a salesman, but these suggestions are tried-and-true sales techniques...to ask a potential "customer" how they feel about something, what they're looking for, how they might be satisfied...drawing information, questions, from the "customer" rather than a "salesman" just telling them about his product.

Tony
