“DAYTON -- The Dayton Police Department is lowering its testing standards for recruits.
“It's a move required by the U.S. Department of Justice after it says not enough African-Americans passed the exam.”
http://abc.daytonsnewssource.com/shared/newsroom/top_stories/videos...
“Under the previous requirements, candidates had to get a 66% on part one of the exam and a 72% on part two. The D.O.J. approved new scoring policy only requires potential police officers to get a 58% and a 63%. That's the equivalent of an ‘F’ and a ‘D’.”
This is NOT the way to make cities safer. Another really, really bad call on the part of Holder and the DoJ—motivated by race yet again.
The original “bar” is already too low. If they can pass with a “C” and a “D” in the first place, should we really go down the “F” road?! Not even the NAACP agrees with Holder on this one--they know such a change is the equivalent of saying that blacks are dumb and incompetent.
This does, however, accomplish the real goal of increasing civil unrest. Imagine—if we have more law enforcement officers who don’t know how to process suspects or deal with a crime scene, how many more criminals will be free on technicalities?
Maybe TSA can just take over law enforcement. And firefighting.
John Culberson (R-Texas) has addressed Holder's racism before in regard to Holder's refusal to prosecute the Black Panther thugs in Philly who intimidated voters in 2008:
“In a series of questions and comments earlier in the hearing, Culberson insisted that race had infected the decision-making process. "There’s clearly evidence, overwhelming evidence, that your Department of Justice refuses to protect the rights of anybody other than African Americans to vote," the Texas Republican said. "There's a pattern of a double standard here."
