Liberty and Freedom

I get the liberals on facebook... of course it is my generation, sigh... how sad!

I have been writing political stuff on posts in my face book lately. Last week I had arguments on every post I had, it’s sad. The arguments just make me want to knock some sense into these liberal minded brains. If any one wants to join my face book its Stephanie Russcher or sjdeweerd or sjdeweerd@hotmail.com this way I can get some help with these liberal minded people on face book.

Lately everyday I have been writing a post down of what I am thankful about every day.
Well… today I wrote down “Today I am thankful for Rush Limbaugh and other conservative talkers. Without them, their would be more people that would not have any sense knocked into their brain's. These kind of people are like hero's”,.

Another post that I wrote down today was “yesterday I just found out about sex trafficking in west Michigan. That normally happens in poor economy places and now its going on here. Just figure this out... we have had democrats in the michigan office for too long”,.

Yup I got lots of posts up just speaking my mind and then I even get my mother arguing with me. It’s amazing.

RE: Voter Qualification. I think proof of citizenship and a tax receipt. Gotta have some skin in the game, eh?

I now understand why our forefathers allowed only male property owners to vote: voters should have a vested interest in the good of the country as a whole. Don't get me wrong--women should be voting, too--but I think there should be more requirements than just being a citizen in order to vote.

Voters should be at least minimally educated in terms of basic economics and civic duties. Now we have busloads of barely literate people driven to the polls and told how to vote, and they do it because they are told they'll get some immediate payback. Just a couple years ago in Benton Harbor, votes for one of the local government offices were bought by a candidate who promised people lunch. Some people are incapable of thinking beyond the very immediate future.

Maybe the right to vote needs to begin with a minimum IQ and proof of true community service (not court mandated!).

Stephanie, JD and Sonja, I agree with all three of you. It is so frustrating for me to get through to libs and Dems.
I don't want anyone to give up on trying to spread the truth though. Tell the idiots what you think and let it sink in.
I am also thankful for Rush, Sean and one of my favorites, Mark Levin.
If you think about it, we have so many good people on our side that are out there on the radio and tv. Too bad that only the right watches FOX and listens to these great radio shows. Try to get those kids who don't care to try one of those shows instead of listening to music all the time. Tell them that they better care, because it is their future.

Stephanie,
I know exactly where you're coming from. I've had the same issue w/ posts on my fb account. I had just as many conservative-minded friends on my page as I did liberal-minded...but it didn't last long. I am expecting my first child soon and the father & I split before I found out I was pregnant. I had a shocking number of people think it was okay to suggest abortion to me, like they were doing me a favor. Now I am extremely pro-life, so of course I took it as an insult. When I posted my frustration on my page, I apparently opened a can of worms. It got so bad I had to remove some of the liberal friends from my page because they were making threats and getting completely disrespectful to my conservative friends who were only trying to encourage me. Those liberal friends I deleted from my page quit speaking to me altogether! In the end, I think it's for the best. My advice is don't waste your time arguing with people who are only in it to argue. I've found few and far between on the liberal side who actually have something to say and are respectful of other's views. Keep on doing the right thing, even if you're the only one doing it. And take solace in the fact that you're not the only one:-)

Stephanie You are a blessing from God!! I just got through having this conversation with my kids 17 and 23. My son (23) and my daughter (17) have boyfrinds and girlfriends that have told me point blank "I DONT CARE" ... They do NOT want to talk about anything political.
WOW, I'm so impressed, what a way to be!! Well here's my view, if you dont care then you should not have any right to vote, period, END OF STORY! We really need to get through to these kids, because they are going to "I DONT CARE" all of us RIGHT INTO LOOSING ALL OUR FREEDOMS!
These kids SCARE ME!!!!!
An uninformed voter REALLY SCARES ME!!!!!!
