Liberty and Freedom
The newly-released movie Iranium, a commentary on modern history in Iran and the current regime, had a screening scheduled at the National Archives in Ottawa, Canada, earlier this month.
The screening was cancelled after Muslim threats and hate mail were directed at the Archives. The Iranian Embassy also sent a formal request to Canadian officials that the movie not be shown.
At least we know where the hate-speech, violence, and hatred are coming from.
After complaints from free speech advocates, Canadian officials have re-scheduled the showing for February.
More from Canadian Minister James Moore:
Hope this backfires on the mullahs; they still don’t seem to understand how controversy heightens public interest in a free society. It also leads to more truth about Islam coming to the forefront.
