I would like to share my letter with ya'll...
My Dear Representative


I would like to extend my best wishes to you and your loved ones. I know your job is a demanding one and your time quite valuable. I suppose you understand that life for many of us is demanding as well and how we spend our time is also important.
I do not take time to write a letter on just a whim. Nor do I typically speak up prematurely. This is a letter typed by me, specifically for you. Please consider my thoughts with the utmost sincerity.

I’m 50 years old and have witnessed a few things here in America. I have also served this country abroad in the U.S. Army for three years. I’m not a college graduate but I have been educating myself in American history for the past several years. But the most important description of myself must include that I love America and am honestly grateful to have been born and raised here. I have listened to much of the debate over health care, cap and trade, freedom of speech issues, and everything under the sun here lately.

My gut feeling is undeniably being confirmed daily. Simply, there is a new movement of trust in our society. A synthetic assurance that everything will work out if the “right” folks are in power. Looking back to history, this whimsical idea has been behind many a national disaster. Trusting in a power that cannot possibly ever produce the items that it promises.

Fortunately, most of the wiser and experienced American people aren’t so easily swayed. We are able to connect the historical dots and comprehend the miracle that has taken place here, like no where else in the world. We are not willing to transfer our power to anyone or anything, no matter what the state of affairs or the promises offered. I understand that I am free and have certain rights. But more importantly is that the origin of those liberties is a supreme power I call God. That fundamental belief is at the core of my rejection to a reliance on big government.

Why do you demand we trust you? Why do you continue to deny the proof of our success? Specifically, INDIVIDUALS in charge of their own decisions despite of the outcome, unencumbered by government control. It really is as simple as that. The latest shenanigans in Washington appear frankly embarrassing. The level of desperation to control every aspect of our lives is beyond an insult.


The need to achieve such a disastrous goal is mind-boggling. These tactics are so glaringly questionable, I don’t even have to list them here, you know what they are.

Why this persistent tugging at Americans’ individual liberties? We get it, why don’t you? YOU are in the way, YOU are the problem, YOU are not the solution!
I know I am not the first to share this view. I firmly join the ranks that are OPPOSED to ANY and ALL bills coming out of THIS congress at this time.

How dare you even entertain the inclusion of illegal aliens or abortion as part of a government health care takeover! And what part of “STOP SPENDING OUR MONEY”, do you not understand? Your arrogance is appalling. We all can clearly see the despicable special interest behavior demonstrated by both parties.

Here is what I would like for you to do - fight back! Tell your colleges that your not all about favors anymore. Tell them to get back to basics. Yes, I’m afraid that does mean conservative values. Critical American values that are the underpinning of our society. You cannot just abandon those values without serious repercussions.

In conclusion, I pray you are blessed with the strength and the wisdom to do the right thing always. I pray that it is YOU that has a “fundamental transformation”! OR, the humility to face and accept the predictable wrath of the American voter.

I genuinely invite you to join the efforts of the TEA Party Movement. This value based group is having a tremendous impact on the hearts and minds of reasonable citizens. These ordinary people will soon be recognized as the very thing that rescued this country from her carelessness and irresponsibility. I believe those Patriots are the response to the prayer, “God Bless America”.
