President Breaks His Promise (yet again)

BHO repeatedly said, in interviews between 2004-2007, that he would not support the Dems passing healthcare with a fifty-plus-one (bare majority) strategy.

He repeatedly said the Senate needed the longtime-standard of 60 votes in order to pass such significant legislation. "If we want to transform the country, that requires a sizeable majority," BHO said. With a fifty-plus-one majority, "you can't govern." He clearly stated (before he was elected!), "We are not going to pass universal healthcare with fifty-plus-one strategy."
