In his book The Plan: Big Ideas for America, the Chief-of-Staff promotes his plan for all Americans, one that includes involuntary “Universal Citizen Service” (p. 54).
In Rahm’s dream world, all Americans 18-25 years old would be required to perform 3 months of “civil defense training and community service”. “Young people will be trained not as soldiers, but simply as citizens . . . “ with the end result of uniting all Americans “in common national purpose,” (p. 54).
This UCS would follow Universal College, an extension of the current public educational system. Ideally, the government would control the education of your child from 5 to 25 years of age, to ensure that they are fully indoctrinated in socialism and communism—all courtesy of our tax dollars. And each young adult would be paid for their UCS.
Rahm wants to create a program similar to AmeriCorps (p. 62), an Acorn-esque debacle that began under the Clinton administration. It effectively ended when a conservative-led Congress refused to spend more tax dollars on a program with questionable results and zero ethics. AmeriCorps was beleaguered with corruption and excessive spending (e.g. grant monies that were taken but the specified work was not completed and funding for questionable “projects” such as “self-esteem enhancement” and sex ed).
Despite the dismal failure, corruption, and irresponsible spending of AmeriCorps, Rahm praises the program and attempts to blame its failure on conservatives, spinning AmeriCorps into magical victim status and making concerned citizens the villains: “ . . . the [Bush] administration stopped awarding AmeriCorps scholarships because, like the rest of compassionate conservatism, the program ran out of money,” (62-63).
Ah, yes. There it is. Liberals—who have no ethical or moral standards—blaming conservatives for their own failures. Because liberals have no moral standards themselves, they don’t hold anyone else to any sort of ethics—they can’t, or someone would point out their own cheating, lying, disgraceful behavior. Deflection is key—they must always blame someone else and point the finger at conservatives to ensure no one looks at their own lives too closely.
Libs are so “compassionate” that they willingly sacrifice the United States of America on the altar of globalism—as long as they get their take. They have no understanding of true compassion. True compassion serves without kickbacks, without a paycheck, without fraud and deceit. It does not demand center stage, does not have to be in the limelight. It does not seek power above all else.
Throughout his book, Rahm makes it clear that all of his plan is “universal”. Because if he and his brother and Obama and Pelosi and Reid have their way, there will be no America—just one big “universal” world-wide government.
We must continue to show these arrogant, corrupt, unmitigated liars that they MUST follow the will of the American people.
