True Change that You Can Help

I am hoping to enlist your help in reforming the state’s family court laws and federal laws that are destroying our families and harming our children. I request this due to the need for change in existing federal legislation like Title IV-D of the Social Security Act of US Code Title 42, Chapter 7 (Child Support Enforcement funding) Section 658a which pays the state to create non-custodial parents with very limited parenting time with their children. Also current state family court laws don’t require gender equity, equal child custody nor equal support responsibility. Most parents that are denied a significant parental relationship have never been charged with a crime but don't have equity in our state‘s courts because they are a hard working parent. In our courts 80-85 % of women have sole custody of children with the super-majority of fathers being part time visitors due to this bias with little to no political will to change it due to the income flow that the system provides the family law section and family court government employees. Joint physical custody should be the law unless the other parent is unfit, unwilling or unable to equally parent. Federal programs should reward states that have education programs emphasizing the equal importance of both parents and laws that increase the amount of fathers who have joint physical custody with substantially equal parenting time of their children or at least a significant amount of parenting time so as to be more than just a visitor. All laws should be gender neutral with no one sex getting more rights than the other, the FOC guidelines on determining custody should not be biased against men but require equality by properly taking into account the traditional value of fathers; state funding should not be based on the amount of support collected rather it should be funded by the number of cases with an emphasis on joint physical custody being required of the states. The Fourteenth Amendment trumps special interest gender politics so please help to make these changes by being a part of grass roots efforts in our state championing change.
Due to the large number of elected lawyers and the large amount of money contributed to our elected officials by the lawyer lobby, change needs to come from the people. Please search the internet for these grass roots efforts and join them and request that your friends and family join them. Then all most post these actions on their personal and organization's blog to spread the word. Change can happen but it truly does start with you.
